  1. Past hour
  2. I think it's the one in the intake just after the EGR cooler because the ones in the DPF provide different descriptions, according to the code. To check if the code changes, disconnect the diagnostic cable that comes after the egr.
  3. To the folks who own BMWs, My ride is a BMW 520D F10 Saloon from 2010. It has been a very dependable vehicle for the eight years that I have owned it. This is the error message I received when I checked the car's code recently: The Exhaust-Gas Temperature Sensor After the EGR Cooler Is Signalling an Open or Short Circuit to B+, Representing Error Code 260100 When it comes to automobiles, I lack technical expertise. I would be eternally grateful if someone in the community could shed any light on this matter for me. Can you tell me which sensor this issue is pointing to? How do I locate it? There are a few YouTube posts that mention sensors, but they all seem to be different. The problem persists despite my replacement of the part located on the right side of the EGR cooler (part number: 1362 094142 02 / 7804177-02) in the front of the bay. It is said to be the one on the left side, underneath the engine bay, just next to the exhaust/DPF. Rumour has it that it's located behind the exhaust. Give me your thoughts on this, if you don't mind. In anticipation, I'm really appreciative of your support.
  4. The NS has completely rusted through, therefore I will schedule an inspection. Thank you.
  5. Get the dealer's inspection done first. If an error is detected, they will notify MB about your claim.
  6. Could it be corrosion or a real breakdown of the subframe? The mere presence of corrosion will not be considered. Even while some dealers might do a better job with the claim, the decision is made by Mercedes GB, not the individual dealers. Some people have had their cars that are 10 years old rejected, while others have had their automobiles that are 15 years old or older fixed for free or provided a payment plan. There is no extra warranty; this is just goodwill. Keep that in mind.
  7. There are a few lengthy discussions about it, with some people weighing in on specific dealerships' choices. If you want to read a lot about this, just do a Google search. My best to you! How terrifying.
  8. Salutations everyone, Unfortunately, the rear subframe corrosion has taken hold of my S212 E class. The level of agreement on the good will offerings varies across the many posts I've seen on this. To begin, did you guys approach the matter by contacting MB UK? or just go to a main dealer without stopping? I was wondering if you might recommend any particular dealers. Being in the southwest, my local would be Exeter, followed by either Taunton or Plymouth. I would be grateful for any assistance.

    does not work

At what point did you last change the spark plugs? If altered, would those be the right ones? Did you change the fuel filter recently?
  11. Codes pertaining to the misfires will likely remain in place. Is a code reader available to you?
  12. Missed EML, floored it again tonight, and everything appeared to be fine. About 180 xxx km. Have a day or two off, so I'm going to go for a nice drive. Just lately, I cleaned the injector. It misfired severely during that process, as if it were about to stall or stop but then turned off.
  13. Lemmand

    does not work

Is there power to the EML station? You'll need to know the error codes in order to conduct most things. An injector cleaner, like Redex, might be worth a shot, though. Do you happen to have the car's mileage?
  14. Tactical

    does not work

My 2004 C180K m271 is fine up until I let go of the handle, at which point it starts misfiring and won't stop till I switch it off. Once it starts up again, I'm not sure what to check first. Any suggestions? The lowlifes just busted my door window in an attempt to take my radar detector. I'm upset with them.
  15. Appreciate it. Mechanic gave it the all-clear this morning. No faults stored, no issues found. I’ve confirmed I’m keeping it. Honestly, the whole process turned out far smoother than I expected. Glad I took the chance in the end.
  16. I’ll admit, I was one of the more sceptical ones earlier in this thread glad it worked out for you. That Tucson is a great choice.
  17. Car arrived this afternoon. Everything handed over properly including V5C, MOT certificate and full service documentation. First impression is very positive. Interior spotless, bodywork exactly as shown in the video.
  18. I sent the payment in two parts, as they requested £1,000 as a deposit and the remaining balance once the car was loaded on to the lorry for delivery. I received a confirmation email shortly after, confirming delivery should take place in about six to seven days.
  19. Yes, fourteen days from delivery to inspect. If you’re not satisfied, you notify them and they arrange collection and refund from the segregated account.
  20. Rob, if you don’t mind me asking, did they explain clearly how the 14-day return works if you’re not happy? That’s the bit I’d want written clearly.
  21. Thanks everyone for the replies genuinely helpful. After reading through and speaking to them again this morning, I’ve decided to move forward. Just waiting for the official invoice to come through now.
  22. I had a similar experience. Purchased a 2023 Kia Sportage GT-Line just before Christmas. Delivery took about nine days instead of the seven they originally estimated, but they kept me updated the whole time. The car arrived exactly as described in the listing and video.I was uneasy about paying upfront but I spoke with them twice on the phone before committing. They answered every question without rushing me. The segregated account part did give me some reassurance since they don’t release the funds until you approve the vehicle within the inspection window.
  23. Bank transfer before you’ve even seen the car would normally be a warning sign. That’s how most scams operate. Money first, promise delivery, then silence only a handful of proper online vehicle retailers manage remote sales transparently, and even then people are cautious. I’d want everything clearly written in a contract.
  24. First question I’d ask is whether you can see the vehicle in person, if they start saying it’s locked in a storage compound and can’t be viewed that would raise alarms for me. There are plenty of scam adverts on Marketplace and eBay where people send deposits and never see the car. Just be careful.
