Samuraisaint
Hi there, My remapped 2006/10 E60 525D has very high fuel consumption—15 litres per hundred kilometres on these chilly days—compared to its 12–13 litres per hundred kilometres in moderate traffic. I removed the EGR and DPF/Swirl flaps, cleaned the Intake Manifold and MAP, and set the thermostats to OEM BMW standards, which maintain a minimum temperature of 87 degrees Celsius. The values of all of the injectors range from -1 to 1. Can you think of anything? I am grateful.
Lovelyas
When you do a code scan, does it return any error codes? It might be that the map is flawed.
Samuraisaint
Before the remap and dpf removal, it was the same or slightly higher; there was no smoke, it pulled well, and there was no loss of power or torque, therefore the culprit may be the callipers. PopeyeR
The air purifier, how is it?
CleverPixel
what is an air purifier? petrol filter? sluggish step? It's possible that any injector adjustment between -1 and 1 is problematic. In regard to one another, it is only a correction.
Samuraisaint
I just changed out the air, fuel, oil, and pollen filters with motul x-clean 8100 5w40 last week. Not a heavy footer, shifts at 2100-2200 rpm regularly, sees above 4000 rpm about twice or once a day, otherwise drives normally.
