Barringer
Greetings Has anybody replaced the stock M Sport suspension dampers on an F36 435 with Bilstein dampers? I believe this will enhance the ride quality, even with run-flat tires. I appreciate the automobile, although the trip frustrates me. Kenjibb
I would remove the run-flat tires first and assess the riding quality. Have you searched for the term "Bilstein" here, as numerous fitments are available?
Barringer
Thank you, Kenjibb. I may consider such option, although I am uncertain whether to prioritise the Bilstein first.
Mantelle
I have just installed Bilstein B16s on my F33 435d Xdrive. The contrast is stark; the automobile seems more aesthetically pleasing. Now that it is no longer on stilts, the ride quality has significantly improved, and in comparison to the original configuration, this two-ton vehicle now handles like a go-kart. I have configured the damping to 50% in the front and 40% at the back, which seems satisfactory. I will be posting images shortly, so please stay tuned. In the meanwhile, feel free to enquire if you want any information.
Barringer
Thank you for your response. I have other enquiries. Did you retain the run-flat tires? Did you install them yourself or consult a BMW or suspension specialist? Thank you.
