Angurita
Could someone assist, please? Recently acquired a 2012 Cee’d 1.6 credit. The vehicle operates and starts without issue; however, as the tachometer reaches around 3000 RPM, there is no throttle response thereafter, resembling the effect of a limiter switch. Normal functionality resumes when shifting gears, only to repeat the issue upon reaching approximately 3000 RPM again. Your assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you. Tactical
Did you get a warranty? A preliminary search suggests that the fuel filter may be the issue; a diagnostic test would validate this via the assessment of fuel pressure.
WannaVulture
It seems to have entered "limp mode."? Are there any warning lights illuminated on the dashboard, and do you own a code reader?
Angurita
Thank you for your response; however, there are no lights and no code reader available. It operates flawlessly till reaching 3000 RPM.
tr4s
It has become very difficult to repair any vehicle without a diagnostic code reader. While one might indiscriminately replace components, using a reader would ultimately save financial resources and assist forum members in diagnosing potential issues with the automobile.
