TraumaLaugh
The autodoc website offers two Bilstein rear shocks for my GLC. 1 equals 19 minus 263038. For athletic suspension. The alternative is 19-263007 for vehicle with substandard road version. Both options are appropriate, and I recognise that I own sports suspension and should choose the same; nevertheless, what are the distinctions between the two? Will installing the 007 increase the ride height or wheel arches, I ponder? I had not before seen a substandard road version shock until today. TraumaLaugh
Suspension setups for sports vehicles mostly in the United Kingdom. Installed on the front and rear axles. Operating a vehicle on asphalt. Poor road suspension is installed on both wheels for operation mostly on dolomite routes and remote areas such as Australia. It seems that they cannot be confused with one another. I have spoken with Autodoc and modified my order to the 19-263038 kind. Well done I cross-referenced the components, since Autodoc indicates both are compatible, which they are, to be fair, assuming the front and rear setups are matched. AmericaMonster
I utilise AutoDoc, however I consistently possess the MB reference in advance. I subsequently locate the matching component from AutoDoc. In my situation, the dampers were Sachs, but Bilstein would have sufficed.
TraumaLaugh
I discovered that when I cross-referenced the MB part numbers on each shock, my part number was absent from one but present on the other. The VIN number ultimately determines the outcome.
baelicious
Are the shocks on a 2019 vehicle already worn?
TraumaLaugh
Regrettably, that seems to be the case.
