2011 Nissan Juke DPF

Hello everyone, I am seeking assistance from anybody who can provide aid. I own a 2011 Nissan Juke. Approximately one year ago, the engine management light illuminated. We consulted our local mechanic, which recommended a DPF deletion and remapping to rectify the problem; otherwise, it would persist. We completed the repairs and retrieved the vehicle from the garage, having additionally incurred the expense of an extra sensor throughout the process. The vehicle was returned with the engine management light still on. The garage said that they were unable to identify the problem. The engine management light persists; it extinguishes when the vehicle is driven aggressively but reactivates shortly thereafter. The vehicle is equipped with an anti-slip light on the dashboard that results in a loss of power when activated; this occurs only while the car is stationary in traffic or idling, not when in motion. Many garages remain unresolved. My brother-in-law and I discovered a video depicting a pipe at the rear of the engine with an orange end connected to a sensor. The videos suggest this might be the culprit. We removed and cleaned it, but the issue persists. I need assistance; now, I own just a malfunctioning vehicle and substantial financial expenditure. I am enquiring whether others have had the same situation.

The orange pipe you mentioned is designated for the DPF pressure sensor. The traction light is on due to a blockage in the pipe. However, if you have had your DPF deleted, removed, or gutted and subsequently welded, and then remapped to indicate its absence, the orange pipe should no longer serve a function. This suggests that the mapping may not have been executed correctly. Typically, with the K9K engine 1.5 dCi, it is also necessary to delete the EGR.

Are you acquainted with the process of remapping? When creating the map, one physically eliminates the EGR operation and programming, as well as the DPF. While this practice is generally disapproved of, it is impractical for individuals to invest in an OEM DPF, given that aftermarket alternatives are often ineffective. A proper DPF removal and remap DELETE is significantly less expensive, resulting in enhanced vehicle performance and potential improvements in fuel efficiency.

Did I articulate that?

I was unaware that you had a whole rolling road in your garage for re-mapping, rather than just re-flashing the ECU with a configuration created by a professional mapper.

To be honest, I am not very knowledgeable about automobiles. The garage recommended that I undergo a deletion and remap, but I am entirely unfamiliar with automotive matters. This vehicle is severely burdening me; within the week of purchase, I incurred an expense of £1000 for four new injectors, and since then, it has been a continuous series of issues. I paid £3,200 for it and have since spend almost £3,000 in repairs and upkeep. I cannot bear the financial burden of purchasing another vehicle; times are challenging, however this is essential for my commute to work. Today, when I accelerated from a traffic signal, the anti-slip feature activated, resulting in a complete loss of power accompanied by the emission of black smoke from the rear. Stopped the vehicle, restarted it, and regained full power without any warning lights. I do not understand; when I cease acceleration, the anti-slip engages, however if I halt while maintaining high rpm, it seems to remain disengaged.

I just had an excellent run, maintaining 4th gear for perhaps 40 minutes to an hour while applying significant throttle. The engine management light extinguished after about 20 minutes, and the anti-slip feature remained inactive for the whole voyage. Secondly, I stopped at a traffic signal, and the anti-slip feature activated once again, but there was no engine management warning. The engine produces a whirling noise when the anti-slip system engages.

I have been involved in tuning for 20 years. Firstly, you have been deceived. Secondly, you must identify the issue, rectify it, and then remap or remove as necessary.Thirdly, they have exploited you, since they sell the inners or the whole DPF for hundreds of pounds, so receiving payment twice for the service.DPF issues may arise from several factors, including insufficient coolant temperature, inadequate fuel levels, and frequent short journeys, among others.
