Captiva
Hello everyone, I own a 2011 E350 Bluetec convertible that cranks and attempts to start but fails to do so. Are there any fuses I should inspect, and where are the fuse boxes situated? Has anybody encountered this issue? Thank you for your assistance. AmericaMonster
Fuel type: Petrol or Diesel; what is the vehicle's mileage? The manual will indicate the position of the fuses. Has any maintenance been performed on the vehicle previous to the starting issue? Preliminary considerations suggest insufficient fuel pressure; nonetheless, it is essential to conduct a diagnostic scan for fault codes. Can you arrange for it to be retrieved to a garage? If it was serviced by Mercedes in the last year, you will own Mobilo breakdown coverage.
Captiva
Thank you for your response; it is much appreciated. I own an Icarsoft diagnostic machine, which is displaying code 146300, indicating that component R48 has an open circuit. Could this be the reason why the engine cranks but fails to start? Thank you once again.
AmericaMonster
Petrol or Diesel? R48 seems to function as a temperature sensor inside the thermostat. If this fails, the ECU may be unable to determine the appropriate values, however I would have expected it to still start.
Thenornpo
Bluetec refers to diesel technology. Monitor real-time rail pressure data during engine cranking.
AmericaMonster
I presumed such, but other specifics were lacking, so it is prudent to seek clarification.
