TraumaLaugh
I hope someone more technologically adept and undoubtedly younger than myself (which will likely be the majority of readers here) can provide me some guidance. The checklist displays all green ticks, with the exception of the Vehicle Inspection, which is due in September 2024 and is highlighted in orange. MOT conducted on 28 August - Passed. Upon startup, the dashboard display displays an orange alert line around the vehicle icon. I had previously entered the concealed menu to modify the miles per gallon, since the onboard computer was overestimating by around 10%. Revisiting the interface to locate the option for updating the Vehicle Inspection due date to 09/25 and to disable the persistent notice proved futile, since extensive navigation through the menu choices yielded no results. I did not comprehend the majority of the functionalities. Any assistance would be very appreciated, thank you.
HolyRoach
The vehicle inspection is a component of the service. I believe it occurs every four years. BMW will automatically perform this service, however independent providers may not due to associated costs. It is an unnecessary inspection that incurs a fee of around £80 to change your orange light to green. It may be possible to enlist a someone with a scanner to program the LED to green. Accomis
Apologies for seeming pedantic, but to the best of my knowledge, there is no 'Vehicle Inspection' option on the service menu. What is the subject of our discussion? Vehicle Inspection is conducted by a BMW workshop every three years. The emblem depicts an automobile on a service lift. The service facility or dealership often resets it in the same manner as other components, such as oil or brake pads. Statutory Inspection - known as the MOT test in the UK and the TÜV test in Germany. The sign consists of two overlapping S's. The owner may reset this to any future date by selecting the iDrive controller while Statutory Inspection is highlighted.

Radiantecon
The vehicle inspection on iDrive is the MOT; go to it, choose the iDrive controller, and you may thereafter modify the date.
TraumaLaugh
Thank you for this. I first attempted that in iDrive, but the 'click' provided no other alternatives. Regulation 435d of 2015. I will consult my BMW registered independent mechanic at my next visit.
Accomis
It is peculiar; I have just verified that there is no 'Vehicle Inspection' for my 2022 330d. It is referred to as Vehicle Check or Statutory Inspection.
HolyRoach
Your vehicle is far newer than mine, which is a 2016 model, therefore it is likely that many changes have occurred.
Radiantecon
Perhaps it pertains to varying degrees of iDrive software? The instances I have seen have a double 's' next to vehicle inspection.
