Kiddokt
I just installed the authentic BMW auxiliary plug on my E46 outfitted with BMW Business CD. However, I have noticed that when I connect my iPod to the audio system and switch to AUX mode, the volume is much lower. In order to hear it well, I have to increase the volume on the headunit, which is different from the volume level I typically use for the radio and CD. I comprehend that the TONE LINE feature, which becomes accessible after cycling through the bass/treble/fade/balance choices, should enable me to modify the input level. However, I am unable to see any changes in the volume after pressing several buttons. Is there someone available to provide assistance? It is causing me extreme frustration! CleverPixel
I believed that the Tone Line option just restored all settings to their default levels, rather than performing any further function. I assume that pressing the Mode button will cause it to cycle to the AUX setting. At that juncture, you should have the capability to establish the desired levels, and the stereo system will subsequently retain them, just as it does for other settings like TAPE, CD, and so forth. That is my guess, nonetheless.
Kiddokt
Indeed, I concur with your assessment. Undoubtedly, there must be a method to amplify the audio output in the AUX mode! Is there anyone available?
w4rlock
The vehicle is a 2008 BMW 320d M Sport. I had a same issue with my iPod, namely, the loudness being insufficient. I experimented with my iPod and made some adjustments to its settings, resulting in a minor improvement while utilising an auxiliary connection connected directly to my iPod. Additionally, I used a separate power cord. The current cable I am using has increased the volume to its maximum output. The cable in question is a versatile 3-in-1 cable that has a 3.5mm socket, iPod dock connector, and USB charging capability. Additionally, I acquired a tiny mini USB vehicle charger from Amazon at a very affordable price. I am convinced that this particular cable will amplify the sound of your iPod to its maximum level, just like it did for mine. Best of luck! The iPhone 3.5mm Audio and USB Dock Cable is 1.2m long and comes in black colour. It may be used for connecting AUX devices. Simultaneously charge your device and play music over your vehicle stereo. This USB 3.5mm In-automobile AUX music/Charger Cable is designed for use with home, portable, or automobile stereos to provide high-quality line-out music. Grundysp
Adjust the sensitivity of the Aux input by using the numerical keys. A sensitivity scale ranging from 1 (least sensitive or quietest) to 6 (most sensitive or loudest).
Kiddokt
Although I understand the concern of perhaps seeming unintelligent (rest assured, I am not!), What is the procedure for doing this task? Upon careful examination, I have found no section inside the audio menu where tapping the numbers has any discernible effect.
Preedom
Has anybody discovered the method to modify the sensitivity of the Aux In? I am unable to locate this option inside the options as well.
Grundysp
Regarding the Business head unit Aux input, I am uncertain. However, with the Navigation system, you can easily adjust the sensitivity by pressing the 1-6 keys. The sensitivity level ranges from 1 (least sensitive or quietest) to 6 (most sensitive or loudest). The mentioned vehicle model is the E39/E46, not the E60/E90. Preedom
Thank you for responding to me. If I understand correctly, you are referring to pressing the number keys when in auxiliary mode? Regrettably, I am unable to make the system acknowledge the auxiliary mode. Whenever I touch the number keys, it only changes the radio station in radio mode or switches the CD in CD mode. This is quite vexing!
Uneripty
I am certain that I pressed and held the "music note" button, which resulted in the appearance of a secondary sound menu. Within this menu, the line-in volume control option was there.
VodScanner
Pressing the music button again brought up a second selection, which worked for me.
