Thenornpo
Greetings, gentlemen. I own a 2012 w204 c63 with a mileage of 49,000 kilometres. Standard exhaust, unmodified vehicle. I am experiencing a bothersome rattling/buzzing noise like that of a diesel engine running, originating from the right side (RHD) of the vehicle. This noise occurs consistently whenever I accelerate at moderate speeds in higher gears during regular city driving, namely between 2000rpm and 4000rpm. Visual recording: Whenever I release the accelerator pedal and then press it again, a metallic buzzing or rattling sound occurs. This sound is audible in the video. I have brought the vehicle to be inspected for exhaust leaks and determined that there are no leaks present. Additionally, I have replaced the header gasket as a precautionary measure, but this did not resolve the issue. Examined the cats and found them to be in satisfactory health. Even ran them over with my friend's vehicle, yet the noise persists. Can anybody provide insight into the potential cause of the sound emanating from inside the vehicle? I can perceive it faintly while the car is still and I accelerate, but it becomes more pronounced when moving.

SushySosa
I am unable to assist, because that would undoubtedly cause me to become mentally unstable. Could the issue be attributed to interference with the audio system, given that the sounds do not resemble those typically associated with engine or gearbox problems? Thenornpo
The noise is not causing any disruption to the sound system, but it consistently occurs as I speed.
engrol
I had an unidentified noise emanating from the dashboard of my C63. It caused me much distress for many weeks and made me anxious about whatever costly component was malfunctioning. Regardless, the automobile was scheduled for a repair that included cleaning the gasoline line, which maybe resolved the noise issue.
Thenornpo
It is worth attempting to address this issue. The sound is originating from the right side of the engine inside the automobile, and it is consistently bothering me whenever I drive.
AmericaMonster
The audio in the video is not very clear, however it is possible that the issue might be related to the prop shaft bearing.
SushySosa
To me, it lacks any semblance of mechanical sound.
Thenornpo
I apologise, but that is the optimal recording I was able to get. You may see that each time I release the throttle, the audio ceases, and conversely, when I apply throttle, it resumes. The Pro shaft has been inspected and confirmed to be in good condition and properly balanced. Yesterday, I discovered that one of my engine mounts has failed, and the second one is also deteriorating. However, I am uncertain whether this is the cause of the mechanical buzzing or rattling sound. I have purchased all three mounts, but I am unable to determine whether they are the cause of the issue until I install them.
Thenornpo
Apologies for the quality of the video. It is worth noting that there is a noticeable buzzing sound whenever I engage the throttle, and it ceases when I release the throttle. Furthermore, the issue is present when the throttle is set to a low position, namely between 2500 and 4000 RPMs. Beyond this range, the exhaust noise becomes excessively loud, making it difficult to hear any other sounds. However, the problem persists throughout regular driving.
PopeyeR
If any of the engine mounts have malfunctioned, the application of throttle or release of torque may result in excessive movement of the engine, perhaps leading to the production of noise. Regardless of various reports, it is necessary to have them installed, as this action may potentially resolve your problem. Perhaps not as severe, but the concept is understood. Thenornpo
I hope that is the problem. Mine is not as severe, but it is gradually worsening if not addressed. I will provide an update after I have replaced them. Greetings
