Maximum weight that a roof can support

Does anybody have information on the specific roof load capacity for my car? Upon entering my Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), I am unable to see any information pertaining to weight restrictions.
I am interested in determining the maximum weight capacity of the roof box that may be carried on my 2015 E-Class Coupe, which is equipped with a panoramic roof. The handbook specifies a standard weight limit of 100kg, but it does not clarify if this applies to automobiles equipped with a panoramic roof. I suspect that the weight limit for such cars may be lower. I have made extensive efforts to do a thorough search, but the solution is not readily apparent. The sticker on the door frame does not seem to indicate it either. Assistance in any kind would be much appreciated.

Greetings

If the handbook specifies a roof load capacity of 100 kg, then that information should be accurate. A automobile equipped with a panoramic roof is likely designed to provide the same level of roll-over strength as a car without one, however its primary purpose may be related to vehicle handling and stability.

Clearly, the mentioned weight includes the combined mass of the roof cross bars and/or rails, together with the roof box and its contents.

When using the pan roof, the roofrack or roofbars are attached to the fittings on the 'roof rails', not the glass. This is the case for both of my vehicles. Hence, it is reasonable to assume that the effective weight limit would be same to that of a vehicle without a panoramic roof. However, caution should be used owing to the presence of glass and the possibility of opening the roof.

I appreciate the gratitude from both of you. That would be logical. I am consistently sceptical about the manual due to the inclusion of information labelled as "unknown at time of printing." Consequently, I prefer to verify the accuracy of the information independently.

By the way, I believe that 100 kg is a really standard or common value... I believe that several of our automobiles have encountered the same restriction.

The roof of automobiles must possess the capacity to bear the whole weight of the vehicle in the event of it being overturned.

Indeed, a weight of 100kg will not pose any inconvenience to it.
