Protector for the front bumper

Racerse

Recommended Posts

Please, does anyone know of a guard that I can install on the underside of my front bumper? No matter how fast I approach a certain "sleeping policeman" near my house, I can't seem to escape catching it. Although I have seen adhesive ones, I am skeptical about their durability.

Has the ride height of your vehicle been adjusted?
When you're getting close, or when you're going down the other side, does it catch?
Are you planning to let off the brakes before you get there?

After you've stopped braking and hit the stock suspension on approach, it's probably a good idea to file a complaint with the owner of the speed bump. There are probably regulations regarding the maximum height of these obstacles, as well as clearances for different car manufacturers.

Many vehicles careen off the road just beyond the speed bumps because their speed is too high, and their suspension doesn't have time to fully extend before they continue on.

One rare case where they collide is when the approaching vehicle brakes too forcefully.

Although I would prefer to drive faster and avoid replacing the bonnet, its hinges, the pedestrian airbags, and the RCM, I find that driving more slowly allows me to avoid scraping the ground on the same speed bumps that other drivers never touch. πŸ˜‰
