Lemmand
Greetings to all, A friend of my son's has a Vito van. They are planning to purchase him a pair of front speakers to replace the ones he has. There's no way to measure the van because it's confidential. Are the speakers' dimensions known by anyone? We bought a decent pair of W124s for around 50β¬, but we don't know what size W639 would be best. Is anyone here? Thank you ahead of time.
Darthilli
In a previous Vito, I installed Pioneer TS-R1350S speakers in their stead. Actually, I'd rather listen to other speakers.
Lemmand
To that I am grateful. Were they a plug-and-play affair, requiring no middlemen? The diameter is 5 inches. For our W124, we used a 4.8-inch, plug-and-play design.
Starat
Does the specification determine whether the standard speakers are different? In my opinion, the 2007 Sound 20 sounded fine with its front and rear speakers and CD changer (how quaint!). It is unfortunate that you neglected to enquire about the size before, because I just removed the passenger door card to replace the electric window switch unit. Bridgenix
Excuse me, my recollection isn't the best. Yet, the month of April 2020 was present. Regardless, I have attached the notes I took. Oops, copied from my XL file, so the layout is all messed up.
Lemmand
I was under the impression that these would be door speakers, so now I'm a little confused. It is not my vehicle. Even my son's friend, who owns the van, is clueless! Once we have more information, I will return.
Bridgenix
Seems like you're confused about something. In every entrance, you'll find a main speaker. On top of each of them is a tweeter. Take care not to rip the cabling to the tweeter when you remove the door card; the main speaker remains in the door, and the tweeter takes the card with it. The primary speaker can be simply unplugged, however getting to the bottom is a bit of a pain. The panels in the back cargo space are identical, depending on the 639 model. They stand out. The speaker grills are a great way to distinguish between them.
KnightNewscast
I had a little trouble removing the front door liner, but I imagine it will be much simpler the next time around! It's quite large and cumbersome π We received our W639 with the rear speakers included in the Dualiner "comfort pack," which also included the rear trim panels. To keep the dogs from being overly startled, we've always kept the fader on front only. π
Lemmand
The vehicle isn't here, and my son insisted on getting the guy new speakers because the old ones were so distorted; now I don't understand. This is a surprise birthday present for the man who expertly restored the leather steering wheel of the S124. I'll keep trying, but the main thing is, what size? Information will be provided as it occurs. They are reportedly at the front doors, according to a new update. Once more, what size are the replacements?
