Progress report on this discussion. Ultimately, I did not purchase it. The photographs were rather flattering, and the vehicle was positioned on its haunches at the near side rear (NSR). It seems that one suspension airbag and compressor were replaced last year, whereas the NSR bag was not. Perhaps it is an airline issue. He did propose a reduction of £250. Given the deteriorated state and the absence of proof about the replacement of oil seals (although I did not see any indications, as access underneath them is restricted), I opted not to take the chance. There will undoubtedly be others.

you are illuminating all the information.The information we possess is somewhat vague about this matter; the colour is painted to match the hue of the bearing on the side block, as they indicate.The machine shop submerged the block; nevertheless, we were informed at that time that the engine was painted the same colour as the bearing on the block. Although we believed we saw this, we did not document it, since blue was the colour we recalled. We captured several photographs while disassembling the engine, but we failed to get that particular angle image.The issue with colour originated from inadequate input.Now you awaken us with the belief that the block contains stamped letters, and regarding the block and crank, I believe we are now on the correct path, having obtained the cross-reference from the colour of the letter, I suppose. We believe that the enormous main bearing we want is black; however, it is currently on significant backorder, with an estimated wait time of six months. They refer to this as a repair bearing for an engine with very low mileage and no crankshaft damage.Audi is very discreet on this information, making it difficult to get details.I am now out of town and will not return to the business until Thursday. I will keep you updated and give you pictures of our project for enjoyment. -
Greetings to everybody, Greetings,I am seeking a set of main bearings for a 2015 Audi 5.2 engine. The engine shop submerged the block prior to our documentation of the bearing thickness colour code.The vehicle had 9,000 miles on it and was a freshwater salvage. We disassembled it, and the engine is in excellent condition. How can we ascertain the colour code? I believe it was blue, and we assume it is normal.It has come to our attention that black is the predominant colour for what is referred to as a repair bearing. We are located in the USA; this is a private project for my kid and myself. I am an aircraft mechanic. These engines are difficult to get technical information on; while we possess an overhaul handbook, it lacks detailed specifications on bearing sizes, providing only colour codes that we cannot decipher.We need a set of black mains; can someone confirm this information?We need the expertise of the 5.2 V10 specialist.

Greetings, everyone. I just acquired a 2015 428i coupe M Sport. It need a replacement offside rear shock absorber. I presume the M Sport suspension differs from the ordinary suspension. Could anybody provide recommendations for quality aftermarket shocks? Is it beneficial to replace both rear components simultaneously? I have contacted many locations, and they seemed to have difficulty locating the appropriate component. Does anybody possess the relevant component number? The vehicle has received the M Sport brake update, and I am unable to locate the appropriate pads required for both the front and rear. Does anybody have recommendations for suitable aftermarket brands? I am uncertain about the specific component numbers. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Wishing you the best

Update on the Premium Plus CX-90 Inline 6 with 10,000 km

The Premium Plus CX-90 Inline 6 was purchased in August 2023, which was 10 months ago. The oil was replaced at 8,000 miles, the chassis was lubricated to address squeaks, and all software/firmware updates and recalls were completed. I mostly refuel her with standard petrol. Driving was mostly trouble-free, with the exception of the following irritations: 1. The temperature gauge is very imprecise and deviates by 5 to 10 degrees, till you drive for thirty minutes, at which point the temperature gauge seems to stabilise and provide more accurate readings. 2. The phone charger fails to charge my iPhone 12. The light remains green instead of changing to orange as expected, even indicating charging on the CarPlay screen. My iPhone's battery level remains same at 60% even after driving for 2 hours. 3. The most frightening irregularity is the cruise radar. I have experienced this on at least two occasions. I programmed the cruise control to maintain a speed of 70 miles per hour. However, when I encountered a bend on the motorway and an eighteen-wheeler was present in the opposite lane, my CX-90 abruptly applied the brakes and decelerated to 50 miles per hour, which greatly surprised and startled me. The radar seems to be susceptible to deception from tall cab vehicles, causing it to respond as if the CX-90 is about to collide with the truck from behind. Currently, I will refrain from using cruise control until I am able to take the vehicle for another inspection. Are you all encountering similar circumstances? Thank you.

After spending £600 (or £1,200 including the cost of the injector seal process and recovering the car to the garage to remove the drilled bolts), the car still fails to start. The garage is unable to determine the cause, initially suggesting a lack of compression and later mentioning a lack of fuel pressure. However, the car was running perfectly before I removed the injectors to replace the seals.

The car is a 2010 Mercedes E-Class. Experienced a distressing situation with injectors and seals. The leak off pipe has broken. When removing the injectors. We had to replace two fuel injectors. Two injector bolts broke while attempting to tighten them, perhaps because the torque wrench was adjusted too high by the neighbour. My buddy attempted to drill them out, but the task was unsuccessful. The car's engine would crank but fail to start, leading me to suspect the presence of an airlock. Attempted to reprogram the 2 new injectors, but inadvertently cleared all 6 of the codes and was unable to restore them, perhaps due to a low battery causing the appearance of code erasure. Additionally, the numbers on 3 of the injectors are not visible. The automobile was sent to an engine repair facility at a cost of £100. The garage contacted me today to inform that two injectors have been installed in the vehicle. The cost for addressing the issue of the broken bolts amounts to £420. The person informed me that the automobile is not starting, which I suspect is due to an airlock. They said that they had attempted to start it for a while but have been unsuccessful. I advised them to continue their efforts, but I am uncertain about the potential cost involved. Does anybody have any hypotheses as to the cause of this occurrence? The car was operational prior to removing the injectors. Thank you

Incidentally. I resolved my query and verified it by contacting my close associate who holds the position of General Manager at Audi. He said that it is a period of 7 years starting from the day of delivery. I examined the delivery date of my automobiles, which was December 16, 2016. It is now clear why my 7-year Platinum warranty will end on December 16, 2024. I would want to get a fidelity extended warranty. The coverage commences from the date of car purchase, which occurred three years ago (regrettably). Considering that my automobile was already covered by Audi's warranty, it would be unnecessary for me to incur additional expenses for a new warranty. Similar to making retroactive payments for duplicate insurance coverage. Alternatively, maybe I am approaching this from an incorrect perspective. I am uncertain. Just to confirm, I want to ensure that I am referring to the correct "Fidelity" warranty business. Does this website belong to them?

Greetings, gentlemen. A few weeks ago, I saw that the dashboard in my Gen 2 vehicle is developing bubbles (experiencing delamination) around the vent region nearest to the windscreen. I booked an Appt w my dealer to come in this coming Monday. Those purchasing a pre-owned R8 should be aware that the maximum Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) guarantee available is a 7-year, 80,000-mile warranty. I assumed it began from the day you bought the car but I was mistaken. I purchased the automobile in December 2020. Thus, I have only used it for a duration of 3 years. I believe that the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) guarantee applies retroactively to the date of the vehicle's first delivery. If you are purchasing a pre-owned R8 that qualifies for Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) status and you want to prolong the original manufacturer's warranty, it is important to be aware of the following information. I would want to inquire about the implications of purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle with a three-year warranty in December 2020. When the automobile was already 3 years old? Or maybe it wasn’t an option available because my vehicle was 3 years Old when I got it. The moral of the tale is that if you see any issues that you believe should be addressed by Audi, it is important not to procrastinate. At least have the vehicle evaluated by an Audi tech so it’s in the computer. And claim procedure has begun. I am aware that it takes many months to install a dashboard. But as long as the claim has begun then it doesn’t matter when the component actually arrives. Even if your warranty has expired. yeah and it’s a $250 deductible by the way. Additionally, there is a service cost of $299, which applies if AUDI determines that the item in question is not covered under warranty and no claim can be made. Essentially, if Audi categorises an expense as an out-of-pocket item, you will be billed $299 instead of the usual $250 deductible.
