Are the shocks on a 2019 vehicle already worn?
-
I am uncertain about your situation as a hybrid. The original poster may possess a defective battery. Could a code read be advantageous? In the event of a technical malfunction preventing shutdown, the BCM directs the ECU to deactivate them to preserve sufficient battery charge for vehicle ignition. The heightened usage should not inhibit the vehicle from starting unless the BCM is compromised due to jump starting or voltage surges.
-
If it is the original battery after 107 years, it likely need replacement. An inadequate or malfunctioning battery may lead to various electrical issues in a BMW. If an automobile is little used and remains in a low state of charge, it may lose its capacity more rapidly than a frequently used car or battery. Consider use the appropriate charger for the AGM battery and see if this yields any improvement.

I am willing to give assistance, but not on this topic.

Can anyone elucidate why my previous W211 320 CDI from 2007 featured a headlight washer button adjacent to the main light switch, whereas its replacement, an almost identical model produced merely six months later, has completely omitted this feature and only activates the headlight washer every ten uses of the primary windscreen washer system? Strange - was it only the accountants exhibiting Mercedes-like behaviour?

£700 is unacceptable..

It may well be a coincidence, in addition to being the season for battery replacement. Please inform us of your progress.

Therefore, no alignment is necessary whatsoever.
-
That does not provide a justification for a realignment. If the previous tires exhibited uniform and equal wear, you are satisfied.
-
What leads you to believe that the alignment requires verification or modification?

In this instance, the issue is an internal battery malfunction, which is a manufacturing defect that occurs sporadically. It should be completely covered and replaced at no cost under the standard warranty. Regrettably, the dealer intends to substitute the original battery with a similarly feeble one that has a Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) rating of 525, when a suitable replacement should have a CCA rating of 650 or more to account for the ongoing power loss from the vehicle's electrical components.
-
Replace the starter promptly if noticing a decrease in its speed. If not, it may cause significant disruption with key fobs and warning indicators. The battery is of poor quality. I recommend purchasing one with a Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) rating of 660 or higher. I purchased mine at Sam's and it is excellent. I personally inserted it to ensure that it is securely fastened.

The 2012 Evoque is now subject to a recall. JLR refuses to assist me.

Describe the consequences of the failure and if the automobile remains operable but with significant difficulty in steering. Have the fuses been inspected? -
i had one a while ago 60k on clock dpf clogged badly and timing chain snapped , done timing chain and damage it caused got it all back running again to find glow plugs not working and replaced them with 4 new ones and reset the codes so system worked again, few miles later its back again n with running issues on start up , long and short of it was glow plug module had a fault where it kept the voltage to to glow plug at battery voltage until melted or damaged the glow plugs , bmw parts guy said common fault where the module fails, it also fails in ways that just dont allow glow plugs to work,, when this happens it prevents the system from doing a regen and filter blocks solid and new dpf with cat is part of fix , also need to fix any fault codes that prevent the system from regen , the last 4 i have done had dpf and egr delete done as bmw want over £1600 for the dpf and cat part,, and on later engines they have also fitted a cat further back the system so a full system would be in realms of £3500 to repair according to main dealers , also trouble is when they dont regen right the carbon collects in engine oil and wears away timing chains faster , i have cars i have done 10 years ago still running same chains and running fine with better titan chains and dpf delete, downside its a mot failure to delete it, but test is mainly a visual check its there, key is to remove the filter internals and leave the rest intact, was someone on here recently saying his car has done 230.000 miles on same chains and changes his oil every 4k , down side of that would be over life span of a consumable chains would be spend 10k to save £1500 every 10 years or so, also cars used on long trips do better than short trips as system needs heat to work anywhere near correctly,

The diesel particulate filter (DPF) in the 2013 Countryman SD with 80,000 miles of local usage is likely in need of replacement or removal. Additionally, there was a tiny catalytic converter located after the DPF filter, as well as one before it, and both were obstructed. The application of an additive to clean the filters only exacerbated the problem.

The information may be found in both the Phev and Mhev Owner Manuals. -
How to disengage the park position while the vehicle is not running?
baelicious replied to TraumaLaugh's topic in General
Yes. The term used is "Neutral Hold" and the owner's handbook in Chapter 5 provides two identical techniques for activating it. (Single-handed vs dual-handed). I have not personally tested it, since I have not used an automated vehicle wash. -
I have never really contemplated purchasing a first-generation vehicle owing to concerns about the reliability of its gearbox, known as the R tonic gearbox. I had been considering purchasing a second-generation vehicle, but I just came across a 2014 V10 Plus with low mileage that caught my attention due to its appealing features. The one drawback I can see is that the warranty for this product is twice as costly as that of the second generation, amounting to £2000 a year compared to £1000. Is there anything else I am overlooking?

I apologise in advance for the simplicity of my inquiry, but I would want to proceed with it. What is the total number of fluids in the automobile that need changing? What is the timetable for their replacement? What is the recommended interval for changing the oil - every two years or every 5,000 miles? Is gearbox fluid synonymous with gearbox fluid? The user did not provide any text. What is the duration and frequency? What is the purpose of coolant? What are some other types of fluids?

The engine management light on my N43 120i is flashing.

I lack any personal experience with snap on, however I have come across instances where they have provided deceptive information. If a defect is identified, the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) modifies the engine's functioning in order to safeguard it. Resetting the ECU by turning it off and on again temporarily resolves the issue until the error reoccurs. -

In order to accurately diagnose defects, it is necessary to use a diagnostic tool specifically designed for BMW vehicles. If you are located in Wiltshire, you are welcome to visit and I will install the ISTA software for you. -
