  1. Magic oil will conceal a loud engine if it is worn. It will not resolve the issue. What is the mileage? I own 3,651 vehicles equipped with engines, all of which produce significant noise during cold starts. They have accumulated 200,000 to 300,000 miles as well. It is often the injectors that are audible, rather than the lifters.
  2. I had a same issue with a 944 that I transported to the South of France many years ago, around the period when Jesus was a fullback for Jerusalem. I brought it to the local tire expert who said, "It's the tires!" However, the tires seemed to be in acceptable condition. Upon our return to the UK, it became evident that the tires had flattened or warped due to prolonged stationary positioning. It may be beneficial to explore this issue, since the vehicle has barely accumulated 10,000 miles over four years. Was it stationary for an extended duration? Potential solution? Purchase a set of rear tires and wheels on eBay, replace them, and assess any resultant differences. They can always be resold on eBay.
  3. I have done so. Substituted everything. Two remain. Size V10. The installation was not unpleasant. The couple exhibited resistance. I replaced all control arm bushings with spherical bearings. The cost of new control weapons was exorbitant at that time.
  4. If you mostly engage in brief excursions such as school shopping, it is advisable to avoid diesel vehicles. I possess no knowledge about hybrid vehicles, since I am used to my established preferences and want to continue using diesel for the foreseeable future.
  5. If this is unhelpful, several other YouTube videos demonstrate the replacement of bulbs in the Mercedes E-Class.
  6. A new tank from eBay has unexpectedly resolved the problem. We will determine the duration, however.
  7. My 2018 E Class Cabriolet (46,000 miles) is equipped with a 10-liter AdBlue tank, and I have consistently replenished it with 5 litres of AdBlue, including an anti-crystal component, immediately upon the activation of the warning sign. This week, it determined that it could no longer interpret the level. P13E7FD error code reappears immediately upon clearance. I lowered the tank, discharged 6 litres of AdBlue, then inserted a borescope to inspect for any apparent issues. I saw crimson specks scattered across the area and on the white mesh at the tank's base, however there was no apparent issue. I anticipated crystals or a similar substance. I purged it with AdBlue, replenished it with 4 litres of fresh AdBlue, and reconnected it. No satisfaction. Frustratingly, once clearing the code, the dashboard display correctly indicates 4L of fluid for a brief while before reverting to 'Cannot measure fluid level.' A new tank, with a pump that is unnecessary due to the absence of any faults, costs £1300. A comparable used tank of similar age is priced at £250 on eBay; hence, I will pursue that option first. I wanted to share this in case anyone believe they can successfully 'clean' the tank to resolve a level sensor malfunction.
  8. This vehicle is classified as Approved Used; however, I have not yet reviewed its service history. Thank you for the notification.
  9. Not as anticipated, but valuable information nevertheless; thank you both.
  10. Does anybody have insights about dealers' existing flexibility in pricing authorised old cars? I previously had a clear understanding of my position before to engaging with a salesperson; but, after leasing for an extended period, I am now uncertain about the changes that have occurred over the last five years. I am interested in a pre-owned G05 X5. On one side, it is at the upper limit of my budget, therefore I would want to negotiate a reduction; nevertheless, we have a good rapport with the sales manager that I do not like to jeopardise. I would prefer to begin with a bold but respectful offer.
  11. Thank you very much. I will also consider other possible actions. It is worth noting that my independent GLM (garage, mechanic, or technician) is very skilled and competent. He successfully replaced the brake lines by removing the subframe himself, and the cost for this work was only GBP 760. It is intriguing to compare this with the fact that MB (Mercedes-Benz) would charge GBP 560 for the same service without including the labour for removing the subframe. However, this is the reality of the situation.
  12. The only concern with having MB do extra work is the possibility of incurring exorbitant labour expenses for the other items. However, if an independent mechanic were to undertake the task, the process of removing and reinstalling the subframe alone would need a minimum of 5 hours of effort. Therefore, it could be justifiable to have MB handle the job. If you are willing to provide a quotation for the brake lines and other components, it would be very appreciated as a benchmark for when I take my vehicle to MB Beaconsfield.

pleasant Does it include a pipe?(My grandfather drove a Cadillac)
  14. This individual demonstrated to me an alternative variant where the same key is affixed to the electrical green plate-chip, rendering the battery non-removable. Even if I am able to access it, I am completely unfamiliar with the contents and have no understanding of its organisation. It is all completely incomprehensible to me. Which IT expert is knowledgeable about these cryptographic keys? Are you looking for an electrician, a mechanic, or someone skilled in locksmithing?
  15. However, could you please clarify the mechanism by which it opens? Additionally, do we have access to any video footage that demonstrates the opening process?
  16. According to someone, the issue is likely caused by a malfunctioning microswitch in the lock button. However, I lack the knowledge or understanding on how to rectify that issue.
  17. I have seen it, but, there is no pertinent information present. Discovered an email address, likely intended for German nationals. https://www.bmw.de/de/footer/metanavigation/bmw-kontakt/bmw-kundenbetreuung.html
  18. Notef It would be desirable, but, they consistently refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing. I will never visit the dealership again! A month ago, I had an issue with the red oil pressure warning light.Ultimately, they made an incorrect diagnosis which resulted in a financial loss of 1700 euros for me. Furthermore, they are attempting to evade accountability by claiming that they followed proper procedures, despite evidence to the contrary. Furthermore, BMW Greece provides assistance to them. Does anybody know the email address for BMW Germany's consumer complaints centre?
  19. No, but, as I previously said in another discussion, my automobile has been sent to the dealership many times this year for repairs. It is now time for me to get the car following the completion of the repair work. The specific issue with the car was related to the key fob.It is likely that they have caused damage to it in some way. It is peculiar that the only issue is the inability to lock the doors, which suggests that the battery is not the problem. Is my assumption incorrect? Did they manipulate it in a way that caused it to malfunction, such as decoding it in some manner? It is possible that they may have damaged the lock button, causing it to malfunction. The lock button was functioning properly before they had access to the car, prior to it being sent to the dealership for servicing. Mechanics have been known to do damage to our vehicles.
  20. Hello, my key fob consistently opens the chasis and ignition, however it does not always lock the door. The task of locking the door is more challenging, approaching a difficulty level of around 1 in 10.What is happening?
  21. Could someone kindly assist me with a problem I am experiencing with my 2020 R8? The vehicle seems to have intermittent difficulties while starting in cold conditions, maybe accompanied by a misfiring engine. The revolutions per minute fluctuate and there is a noticeable smell of petrol. The engine emits a very unpleasant sound and is experiencing difficulty. I suspect that there may have been a release of smoke, however I was unable to verify this since I immediately became alarmed and turned off the vehicle. I brought it to both the dealer and a tuner business, but they were unable to get any diagnostic information. Upon restarting the vehicle, it seems to be in optimal condition and running flawlessly. Attempted to record throughout several instances of starting the device under chilly conditions, but the occurrences seem to be too irregular for me to capture.
  22. Typically, the rear bags are not modified, but the front struts, along with new bags, need be replaced. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) options are Delphi or Bilstien. For the most competitive rates, choose Island 4x4 UK. The front knuckles seem to be an excellent option, as they will undoubtedly save a significant amount of time. I would recommend applying lubricant to all exposed metal surfaces to facilitate disassembly, if needed, within a span of 5 years.
  23. The rear airbags have not been reported to malfunction so far. However, it is well-known that the front airbags are prone to failure, and it is advisable to choose for original equipment manufacturer replacements. Otherwise, there is a risk involved in choosing aftermarket alternatives.TTS. Island 4x4 UK offers competitive costs, a wide range of options, and efficient shipment. Apply DC111 / MOLY COAT to all O ring connections to maintain rubber softness and avoid cold-induced leaks.
