  2. Refuelled yesterday, displaying 330 miles; after driving 2 miles, it decreased to 300 miles. It appears to be pretty inaccurate. We will await the dealer's response. It indicated a range exceeding 200 miles on a full tank.
  3. I had the same problem; when the tank is filled, it indicates just 260 miles. After driving just 11 miles, it decreased to 210 miles. The dealer has essentially stated, "accept the situation." I completed the recall, although it yielded no results. I am contemplating legal action for fraudulent advertising.
  4. Thank you. I observed discussions regarding this matter, but I anticipated it would not be a significant issue. We shall visit the dealer on Thursday for diagnostics to ascertain their assessment.
  5. I was not enquiring primarily about the premium versus normal distinction; rather, I was curious if you are utilising unleaded 88/E15 fuel. I suggest tactfully introducing the concept of the significant recall over a defective fuel tank sending unit to the dealer and observing the direction of the ensuing dialogue.
  6. According to the user manual, utilising 87 octane is sufficient for the 280 hp model, hence premium fuel is unnecessary. I have verified the display using manual calculations, and the results appear to be quite similar.
  7. Which fuel grade are you utilising? Are you manually calculating mileage or utilising the panel display to obtain your figures?
  8. Greetings everyone, I possessed the vehicle for almost three weeks and have accrued around 700 miles. I needed to refuel approximately three times, and upon checking our miles per gallon, we are averaging around 16 to 17 mpg. The range following a refuelling indicates between 200 and 225 miles. I have observed posts regarding the recalls; however, upon consulting the dealer, they confirmed that there are no recalls associated with my VIN. The other peculiar aspect is the quantity of fuel remaining when the tank is indicated as empty. Approximately 14 to 15 gallons will be required for an 18.5-gallon tank. Is anyone else experiencing a similar mileage issue, and what actions did you take to resolve it?
  9. Why must the turbocharger (hot side) be removed if the issue pertains to the swirl flaps (cold side)?
  10. Alarm What is the car's mileage, and have the oil cooler seals been replaced? Completing the SF motor would render it imprudent not to replace the seals, as it requires but a few bolts and an additional 20 minutes of effort beyond the initial 10.
  11. Invest approximately 10 pence in a 4700-ohm resistor for the connector associated with the motor; bridge the central two pins; issue resolved. The vehicle will operate similarly, and there are no warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. Examine fuse number 24 as well.
  12. An electric motor has malfunctioned. I could not comprehend the statement, but I believe it pertains to the exhaust manifold. It is possible that the swirl flaps are malfunctioning. The turbo must be removed. The repair will not be inexpensive.
  13. The gearbox frequently enters a protective mode, as you said, when an engine failure occurs. Best of luck with the resolution. πŸ‘
  14. I have shared this in the "What have you done to your Merc today" thread, but I believe it may also be beneficial to put it here. I will provide any updates or solutions in due time. E350 CDi has the updated OM642 engine. EML activated en route to work on Friday. Successfully transported me there and back home, fortunately, without any apparent symptoms. Operated regularly, smoothly, without any knocks, responded well under moderate load, and emitted no smoke (did not attempt full acceleration). I presented it to my independent entity first thing this morning. It began adequately but exhibited hesitance in shifting gears. The vehicle shifts down automatically at approximately 3,000 RPM, while manual paddle shifting occurs at 2,500 RPM, and it does not exceed 5th gear with the 7G-Tronic gearbox. Otherwise, it seems satisfactory. I suspected the NOx sensor, but the mechanic disagreed, considering the gearbox issues observed this morning. I anticipate a call.
  15. Today
  16. You may operate your tires on the new rims without any issues.
  17. I suspected as much; thank you! My tires are in satisfactory condition, therefore I will continue using them for a little longer.
  18. Indeed, I believe they will require 255/40R17 tires.
  19. My vehicle is presently equipped with style 158 wheels and 225/45/17 tires on all sides. I intend to replace them with model 194 wheels, which seem to have broader rear sections; therefore, I presume I will require new rear tires. Style 158 8x17 ET34; Style 194 8x17 ET34 (Front), 8.5x17 ET37 (Rear)

  21. The employee at Costco was misinformed when I purchased my Bosch battery, as he insisted that I required a stop-start battery, which was incorrect. The C-HR does not employ a starter motor like a traditional stop/start engine does, allowing for the installation of a standard lead-acid battery, similar to the factory-installed one, but with a greater amp-hour (Ah) rating.
  22. All the batteries listed by Euro Car Parts for my 2022 1.8 Excel indicate "not start-stop compatible." Could someone possibly provide guidance to the uninformed?
  23. I installed a 60Ah battery in my 2018 1.2 turbo months ago, and it has performed excellently.
  24. I believe the cells are identical for both engines; however, you may get the largest capacity battery that fits in the tray behind the hood.
