I take it you're not interested in "charging capacity" per se, but rather the difference between actual and estimated ranges? It's always an educated guess because it's practically hard to tell what a battery's actual charge level is; instead, it's "calculated" and impacted by numerous factors like temperature, driving style, accessory use, etc. Or the difference between what the charger is reporting as going into car versus the battery capacity/ or what car is reporting? This is because there will be charging losses in the battery and the charger/inverter used in the vehicle. Particularly when using an air conditioner, these can have a major impact.

Thanks for the info! I've taken note of that.

Your summer/winter range difference is not unusual. Check this out for some third-party experience Long Range Kia EV3 (MY25-26) Keep the battery level between 20% and 80% according to general advice; unless you're going on a very long trip, you probably don't need a fully charged battery.

Salutations everyone, With the exception of the ICCU problems I experienced with my previous vehicle, which led to its exchange by the dealer, I have owned a brand new EV3 GT Line S (81.4 kwh) for the past eighteen months. While I understand that charging varies from season to season, I've noticed that the car's range can fluctuate by as much as 70 miles in either summer or winter. This could simply be the car's typical characteristics, but I've never had any problems with it. Is this normal, am I doing something wrong, or is there a trick to getting a more consistent charge? I've tried conditioning the batteries, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. My home charger is an Easee 7.2kw model, and we charge it until it reaches 50 miles of range. We've never used a public charger because our trips aren't long enough to warrant it.

Good day, Nothing seems to be jammed in the metal component, but I'll try lubricating it with diesel tomorrow. Many thanks
-
Apply a small amount of diesel oil and make sure the metal bit is clear of any obstructions.

Good day, See the photo? I cut a fuel return hose at the tiny plastic fitting on the metal fuel line at a T-piece; it wasn't the injectors. The new return hose component I purchased looks off because the push fit at the metal fixing point doesn't fully engage. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations. I am grateful.

My daughter operates the final N47 face lift, the F11. She got it at 60,000 miles, and so far there have been no rattles. However, she has changed the oil every 10,000 miles. There have been fourteen oil changes recorded in the vehicle's history. I hope everything continues to run smoothly! -
Even though I have my doubts about their success rate, I also know that some of them will keep going. Even though my hearing isn't perfect, my 2009 E91 320D has reached 192k without any issues, and I haven't heard a rattle as of yet. I'm still deciding whether to keep the car or sell it. If I'm going to keep it for a few more years, I might as well get it done so I can rest easy. I was wondering if anyone had experience with the AB Auto Repairs shop in Chard, which is close by and appears to have done a number of N47 chains.

I have a couple of cars lying around. For work-related errands, I have a 320i, a transit custom, a Mercedes C250 CDI estate, and a little Mito. In my opinion, you can find better deals if you look around rather than settling for a chain. -

Greetings, pal. I am aware that Group 1 is currently running a timing chain offer for £1500 (including VAT). Almost made me decide to keep driving instead of taking the plunge. I can't wait to enjoy my 420d for many years on the road. It's a sturdy vehicle with a huge trunk. Do you have a vehicle?

Yes, it is a reality that they fail. The engine clearly has a decent oil service history, as it has 147k miles on the original chain. If you have an insured warranty, you don't need to worry about keeping the service history up; however, if the warranty weren't there, I would personally consider replacing it. -

Hello, I have researched the N47 timing chain extensively on various forums. Never used stop-start, and my 420D Xdrive GC 2014(64) has a complete BMW service history. Been the owner for three and a half years. I am protected under the insured warranty of my BMW in the event that anything were to happen to the chain—which it has never experienced. Have you any ideas?

For towing the grandkids and maybe even a small camper, I recently upgraded from a 2016 CX-5 to a 2026 CX-90. Here we are, at the halfway point. Although my wife mostly uses it, I'm looking forward to getting behind the wheel of this because I've always admired the CX-5's handling. Plus, it's incredibly roomy and has all the bells and whistles. Oh, how I adore you!
