  3. This is something that 5w-30 acea A5 halfords and other brands like Castrol and others do.
  4. Here is where you can enter your registration number.
  5. Oh my goodness, I apologise for that. I wrote it in a hurry. sportage 1.6 t-gdi gt line 2018
  6. I can't get the car over the weekend, but when I go to Halfords to put in the registration, it says 5w-30, 0w-30, or 15w-40.
  7. Thank you for your assistance; I have attempted to inspect it, but the sticker appears to have come off. I will remove it from the vehicle to either gain a better understanding of it or to check for any stamped numbers.
  8. Get a good look at the white sticker on top of the differential and read the number using a mirror.
  9. There is a minor case difference
  10. Do you believe it? It appears to have 320D cups and half shafts, as well as spacers that would be necessary for a small case. I'm a bit confused because some people have said it's small, and others have said it's medium. I just want to be sure before I purchase a new differential.
  11. There's a drain plug on the side of that 188 medium case diff.
  12. I am uncertain if the differential was upgraded during the engine swap, but it needs replacing on my 318ci with an M54B25 swap. On what scale is my differential? Mini or standard?
  13. Today
  14. With the motor turned on. To find the oil draining out of the timing cover, look beneath the bulge on the left side of the front of the engine, halfway between the top and bottom of the cover. As the engine runs, the oil pump driveshaft seal wears down and leaks. A lot of oil can be lost from an oil pump seal in a short amount of time, so it's recommended to check the oil at every stop.
  15. Sure, I appreciate the guidance. I would rephrase that comparison because most women are much stronger than you realise.
  16. The education is excellent. A lot of planning is required for someone with little expertise. You will need a number of specialised instruments. You can make them all with what you have on hand or with just a quick trip to the hardware store. The use of profanity is imminent. However, newcomers like you usually find a lot of helpful information on this forum. YouTube is also a treasure trove. Is there another car you can borrow while you fix the Camry? This is due to the fact that completing this task for the first time could take a few days. I have replaced the timing belts on a dozen or more Toyotas and Hondas that were manufactured in the 1990s. It still takes me around five full days to complete the whole job, including preparing all the necessary tools (timing belt, water pump, various seals, and more). Obviously, I'm an elderly woman with, well, let's face it, just average strength. Many breaks are taken by me.
  17. Is it a 4-or 6-cylinder engine? I'm interested in this Camry.

  19. The notorious valve cover might be the source of the oil leak. The big nuts that secure the spark plug tube are designed to loosen themselves. Torque them again to 33 lb/ft and see what happens. Perform a thorough job on the water pump and oil pump seals (another source of common leaks) in relation to the timing belt. Look through the DIY section of the forum and YouTube videos.
  20. Neither the 4-cylinder nor the 6-cylinder engine will have any trouble with this. Both of those things I've done before.
  21. Pop the hood, snap a photo of the engine, and then upload it. Tell me more about where the leak is.
  22. Tell me which engine you're using. The source of the leak is unclear.
