Location of the crankshaft sensor on the 2008 B200

Could someone please inform me of the position of the crankshaft sensor on the 2008 B200 automatic vehicle?

I have removed the air filter housing and cannot locate a replacement.

Receiving code P0016.

It will be positioned much lower than the air filter housing.

The sensors are often located at the junction of the engine and gearbox. Typically at a really uncomfortable location!

This is the CPS for an M113 V8, identical to the V6 variant and several others. Measures the pulses from the starting motor ring, which is affixed directly to the crankshaft.

It seems that you need a camshaft sensor. Position 40 in the first diagram.
