Smoke Emitting from Oil Cap of E91 Hot Coolant Tank

Greetings.

Today, I detected a burning odour like rubber. Upon opening the hood, I saw smoke emanating from the oil cap. Pale grey fog.

Upon closer examination, I saw that the coolant tank (black plastic device) was warm to the touch.

The coolant reservoir is at capacity.

Has anybody else had this difficulty, or can someone clarify whether there is a problem?

What is the temperature of your coolant? Is your vehicle displaying any warning indicators or entering limp mode? Is it possible that the smoke originates from spilt oil rather than the oil filler cap itself?

I do not know the temperature. No indicator lights Absence of Limp mode. The oil cap of the car has not been removed for 11 months. The exterior surface of the coolant tank seems unusually hot, a sensation I have not before experienced, leading me to question its normalcy. I suspect it needs an oil change, since almost a year has elapsed. Consequently, if the oil level is low, the coolant temperature will increase. The hazy vapour emanating from the top may be dampness. There are no concerns with the automobile save for a burning rubber smell and the heated coolant reservoir. It may be the radiator.

I want reassurance or confirmation of the normalcy of this situation.

Verify the oil level using the dipstick and see whether smoke emanates from the dipstick opening while the engine is operational. The oil filler cap must be securely shut to prevent any smoke from escaping.

Verify your coolant temperature via the concealed menu; seek on YouTube for instructions on how to do this. Does your engine fan activate when you use the air conditioning?

I have just seen a YouTube video on the coolant technique. Summing numerical values, among other tasks. Impressive.
No smoke emanating from the dipstick.
I will inspect the engine fan presently.
I appreciate your attention about this matter. Thank you.
