W212 Siren Issues

Greetings,

I own a W212 that has intermittently been connected to chargers and not used appropriately. Now, after being locked, the indicators deactivate while the inside lights illuminate. I recognise that this is often related to the alarm siren battery problem. I will probably alter the whole composition at some time.

The device is presently secured with a key, the alarm is off, and it is connected to a trickle charger. I received a 'auxiliary battery malfunction' error, despite my certainty that early W212 models lack an auxiliary battery. I presume the issue is with the alarm siren situated behind the front passenger tire arch.

Can a 'quick remedy' be achieved by just disconnecting the siren? Indeed, I understand that the alarm will not activate in the event of a malfunction; but, I have seen some discussions suggesting that only disabling the siren may temporarily alleviate the issues with the danger lights until I can address the matter appropriately.

Salutations!

Indeed, my research suggests that at this age, it is probable that the batteries have spilt, causing corrosion throughout the inside of the machine. It is possible that this is not the situation.

I am seeking an immediate solution to resolve the flashing lights problem.

I believed that is what I said. I disassembled a component from a vehicle I previously had (I cannot recall the model) due to its persistent low muted beep. Internally, it was extensively corroded, and the PCB was discoloured brown from water penetration. If it is not the siren producing false warnings, one must enquire what else it may be, perhaps ultrasonics internally?
