w4rlock
Even when the sat-nav was not in use, my CX5 with an 18 plate had built-in speed camera alerts. Regrettably, it seems that this feature is no longer present on my new and sleek CX60, which feels like a significant regression. Is it correct to assume that I will need to spend money on a separate device? I would be delighted to learn if someone has successfully implemented speed camera alerts, even if it requires some intricate work. Thank you. w4rlock
I believe I have located it, hidden under a menu shown on the screen. I was unable to locate it inside the electronic handbook. Although I have not received any alerts while driving, I will monitor the situation for about a week to see if any issues arise. The warning level is now set at +0mph, indicating that I am driving very cautiously. Thank you.
NameInterest
Was this successful for you? If you have located it, could you kindly inform us of the method you used to locate it inside the on-screen menu?
VodScanner
Yes, it is located in a menu, and my device is capable of doing it even when the Mazda navigation route is not active. Please note that if you have a navigation route set up in Google Maps, the Mazda speed camera alerts may not be sent, since it seems that Google takes precedence. Spiderer
Based on my own experience, Android auto cautions are generally more precise.
w4rlock
I apologise for not responding to your query earlier. The answer may be found under the Navigation menu. If I apply excessive pressure on the accelerator, I get a warning about the presence of a speed camera. However, the current functionality of the system is limited to fixed cameras, including average speed cameras. It does not support mobile cameras. Therefore, I am interested in discovering a method to upload the Road Angel or a comparable database. Mercedes automobiles have this capability a decade ago. Curiously, I also get an unexpected audio message warning of a "congestion zone ahead" at peculiar locations. There are six specific locations where this consistently occurs, regardless of whether I am driving towards or away from them. One location is situated in a nearby community, while the other is encountered when driving by the municipal waste disposal site.
Spiderer
In the heart of a tiny hamlet, I encounter a "congestion zone" despite the absence of any intersections, crossings, or road narrowing.
