Back battery

The rear battery on my R230 SL is experiencing complete discharge and requires replacement. I would want to request a new battery for my vehicle that does not have the Stop/Start feature, since the current one is not functioning properly. Thank you very much.

The battery does not have the responsibility of managing the Stop/Start function. That is mostly a software function.

If the Stop/Start function has not been functioning properly in the past, it is likely due to the gradual deterioration of your battery until it ultimately failed.

I must admit that I really despise Stop/Start!

I was unaware of the presence of such feature in my R230.

I believe that none of the R230 models were equipped with stop/start functionality. It was my understanding that this feature was introduced with the R231 model.

Upon contemplation, I am pondering if the original poster is referring to the Keyless (Start/Locking) feature, as opposed to Stop/Start.

If your battery has to be replaced in the meanwhile, be sure to use an OEM standard - AGM.

I purchased mine from a reputable local independent retailer, but they can also be obtained at a competitive price from MB Grangemouth.

Fortunately, my R230 SL500 does not come equipped with Stop/Start technology.

Richard Hollins is a highly recommended individual in York. He has expertise in handling many SLs (service level agreements) for different activities. In fact, he successfully managed six SLs, including mine, when my alternator malfunctioned during my trip to York last year.

Additionally, my SL500 R230 model does not include the stop/start feature.
