PopeyeR
The BMW 318i, specifically the E46 model, is experiencing overheating issues and the radiator fan is not functioning. I replaced the lower radiator hose coolant temperature sensor, but, the vehicle is still experiencing overheating issues and the radiator cooling fan remains inactive. What is the potential issue in this situation?

Dudeta
What is the car's manufacturing year? Which one is preferable: M43, N46, or N42? The E46 fan exemplifies the tendency of German engineering to unnecessarily complicate things. The fan is equipped with a fan control unit, as well as a control relay and a delicate control wire that connects to the ECU. This wire is prone to breaking and is located along the NS engine bay.
