KnightNewscast
Greetings, everyone. I would like to inform everyone that I have just purchased a front lip for my 2023 facelifted R8 from 1016 Industries. The final outcome was satisfactory, albeit the precision of the installation may be rated at about 8 out of 10. The fitting is imprecise and does not align optimally. 1016 claimed that it was a straight bolt-on, however, the hardware they supplied was clearly incompatible. My business had to get specialised hardware to perfectly fit it to the car. 1016 asserted that the store was in error. Nevertheless, I sent films and images. I requested a credit of $150 to cover the additional expenses and effort incurred. I shown exceptional politeness throughout the whole procedure. Initially, they requested the submission of photographs and films depicting the problem. After doing the task, they declined to respond. They informed Tag Motorsports, the third party from whom I made the transaction, that they would not be providing a response to me. Despite my efforts to be polite and thorough in my explanation, the other party chose to disregard me. Given the magnitude of this corporation, their deficiency in customer service is utterly absurd. Tag Motorsports promptly refunded me the whole amount of $150, which is really satisfactory. Nevertheless, handling 1016 was undeniably an unfavourable encounter. Potential purchasers should exercise caution.
Shmoein
Based on my own experience, it is quite likely that aftermarket body components may encounter fitting problems, regardless of the company's assurance that their product is a straight bolt-on. KnightNewscast
You are accurate in your assertion, yet it should be noted that some options are superior than others. The primary concern is in the assertion that it is a straightforward bolt-on, which is inaccurate. Furthermore, the disregard I experienced. If the only problem was fitting concerns, I would not have commented or complained about it, and I would have accepted it as it is.
Shmoein
Enter the realm of navigating through the majority of aftermarket body part vendors 😛 I find it unsurprising that 1016 has included a disclaimer on their website.
KnightNewscast
I have perused that, laughing out loud. However, they said that it is a straight bolt-on and there was no significant deviation. This is a binary decision - not a matter of compatibility. Their hardware was inaccurate. They promoted it as a straight bolt-on. This is not a low-cost buy from eBay. How is it acceptable for firms to disregard their customers? I have procured aftermarket components from many suppliers. This serves as a cautionary notice for others. Bridgenix
Do you have any photographs depicting the problem? Perhaps it will assist us in comprehending the extent of the company's failure.
KnightNewscast
The bolts prove insufficient in length during insertion of the tubes. The fitting was around 80% accurate. Given the exceptional quality of the product, it is expected that the appropriate hardware would have been included. The store had to get the hardware and perform a customised installation in order for it to function correctly.
Adv3nture
This component costs $4,000. In my opinion, it is a very erroneous decision by 1016 to refuse a reimbursement of $150. Whether the OP is correct or not is irrelevant. Any adverse publicity over an ill-fitting component is not justified by a price of $150.
KnightNewscast
Precisely! It is absurd that they requested a demonstration of why their gear is not functioning, as if they were capable of finding a solution. I provided evidence, but they entirely disregarded it, save for informing the third-party vendor that they declined to reply. After spending a significant amount of money on a lip procedure. Savage. I have also been informed that their hood fits poorly and they show little concern for client concerns about this matter.
KnightNewscast
Additionally, during the installation conversations, the product team requested that I provide them with the specifications of the required hardware so that they may include it for prospective customers in the future. laugh out loud
Inspirli
Thank you for this discussion. I have decided to refrain from making any future purchases from them. It is important to openly criticise companies that perform poorly.
Bedelon
Impressive. It is quite astonishing that a firm that charges such a high premium for carbon components fails to provide a product that fits well and includes all the necessary pieces for mounting it to the vehicle. They evoke a sense of resemblance to vorsteiner in my imagination. Throughout a span of two decades, I have gained extensive experience with them, working with many components on several platforms. It is evident that there is a consistent pattern of their below-average quality in relation to their pricing. However, the appearance of their components is rather appealing. Shmoein
I strongly believe that these firms engage in outsourcing their labour, which is the reason why individuals often complain about receiving inferior items.
