Captiva
Greetings, I want clarification on the proper procedure for cleaning the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) on a 2011 automatic C-Class vehicle. I have received advice from individuals suggesting that it is necessary for me to often drive on highways at a speed above 2500rpm. Despite disabling the eco mode, I am able to travel at a speed of 80 miles per hour while maintaining an engine speed of just 2000 revolutions per minute. What is the technique for driving at greater revolutions per minute (rpm)? The gearbox of my automobile is automatic. Thank you.
AmericaMonster
Engage manual mode for the gearbox and set it to a gear one level lower than the usual gear used during highway travel.
Captiva
How do I transition it into manual mode? The automobile is equipped with complete automation.

MundeDas
If your car is functioning correctly, there is no need to drive at 2509 rpm on motorways in order to clean it. The cleaning process occurs automatically without your awareness, as long as the car reaches its optimal temperature, has sufficient fuel, and is driven for at least 20 minutes. I observed this phenomenon in my B200 using the ICarsoft device, and was amazed by how rapidly it occurred during regular driving.
