FreexPatty
Greetings once again, gentlemen. An inquiry about the USB port in the cx30: I purchased a USB adaptor equipped with three USB ports. This is not exclusive to automobiles. It is specifically designed for computers. I was unable to locate any USB adaptor specifically designed for automobiles. The USB adapter was connected to the USB port next to the lighter charging location, rather than the port located underneath the AC control. It is noteworthy that the USB adapter's light is illuminated and all three ports are operational, indicating satisfactory functionality. I connected my phone and confirmed that it is really charging. Indeed, the current functionality is satisfactory, allowing me to simultaneously charge my phone and two other phones. Regrettably, my information panel indicates that the USB device cannot be recognised. Indeed, I am unable to identify my phone. To verify, I disconnected the USB port and directly connected my phone using a single USB connection. The vehicle acknowledged the presence of my phone, indicating that I am able to charge it. However, the car is unable to recognise my phone, preventing me from using it with the car. I have not attempted the same task with a light charger. I am uncertain if the outcome will be same. Below are my inquiries: Was there an error on my part, or is it a common occurrence for the vehicle to fail to recognise my phone while using an adaptor connection or without a direct connection? Will the lesser charge location have the same outcome? Suppose I get an additional adaptor equipped with three USB ports. However, in this instance, I want to connect it to a lighter charging location rather than a USB port. Will my vehicle be able to detect my phone connection if I use a lighter charger with a USB adapter? 3) Is a direct connection necessary for the automobile to recognise my phone? Is it considered acceptable to keep the USB cable connected to the vehicle without using it while parking for the remainder of the day, or is this a similar practice? Thank you. Boxck
There are restrictions on certain ports. Please refer to your handbook for further information. One may provide power to a mobile device by using a low-cost USB adapter connected to the 12V power socket, or alternatively, by acquiring a cost-effective power storage unit for the same purpose. Kiddokt
Data transmission is not supported by all cables. Certain individuals permit the act of charging. Please verify or replace your cord.
FreexPatty
It is possible to both charge and connect my phone to my automobile using the wire I am using. Regarding the adapter I am using, it is specifically designed for computer use, specifically for the purpose of data transfer. I believe it is necessary to establish a direct connection... Startle
Not sure whether you have the same jacks as the ones favoured in the US. I own a pair of USB ports and a 12-volt lighting port. Both USB ports are capable of providing power to my phone and facilitating data transmission. I am capable of charging the phone with a 12V power source. Does the user need data transmission from several devices or just the charging of a majority of them? It is unlikely that the system will have the capability to process data from several sources simultaneously. Additionally, it can only choose it based on the jack that you are connected to. Avoid selecting one option from a splitter. It is possible to connect two data devices and use a splitter on the 12v power port to accommodate more devices. FreexPatty
Hello, I attempted to connect a USB splitter with three USB ports. All of them are USB 3. My intention was to use all three USB ports for both charging the phone and connecting it to the automobile. As for the other two ports, they are used for charging purposes, but they do not establish a connection between my phone and the automobile. However, it is possible to establish a link by use a conventional direct cable connection. In order to establish a connection between a phone and a vehicle, it is necessary to establish a direct link. It is not feasible to use an alternative method. Due to its ability to identify the first device that was connected.
Boxck
A single USB port can handle a maximum current of 2.5 A.
Startle
Unable to locate it. Is it known how they are safeguarded? Is it a self-reset or fuse? According to the handbook, the auxiliary socket is specified as 10A, although it is seen with a 15A fuse.
Boxck
The Mazda Connect owners handbook contains the information on pages 2-21.
Startle
I do not question the accuracy of your information, since I am aware that there are several iterations of the handbook. In which category does this belong? The website I came on pertains to DVDs, which I was unaware were compatible with. gen_mzdconnect_en_v1.pdf (mazda.com)
Boxck
It seems that your version is more recent than mine, since it states September 2019 (Print 1), whilst yours is mentioned as July 2020 (Print 1). This information can be found on pages 2-24 of your edition. Nevertheless, I have just revisited the Mazda Canada website and obtained their most recent edition, which is now dated July 2021 (Print1). The information may be found on pages 2-24. The maximum limit of current that may flow over a single USB port is 2.5 A. If a device with a higher current need is attached, it may experience abnormal operation or fail to charge. Startle
Thank you. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. I did not want to compel you to do my study... I thoroughly examined all the pages pertaining to the USBs and inadvertently overlooked it.
