engrol
After extensive searches for a solution, I have found no answer. I am looking for an alternative to the common techniques of mounting on the windscreen and air vent. Instead of converting the audio system to android just for navigation purposes, I have opted to simply utilise my phone. I prefer not to have anything on the dashboard since it limits my field of vision more than I am used to. Any recommendations or suggestions? AmericaMonster
I suggest using Brodit holders. Then choose from many choices to get the one you like. Here is one that is located beside the centre console. https://www.brodit.co.uk/
engrol
Thank you. I assume another bracket is needed to securely hold the phone
Mantelle
I use a spherical adhesive magnet, however both of our phones have cases that the metal plate attaches to. This kind of stuff https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285043231852?itmmeta=01HQGD3ADKMSAZF14RB1BG3SBM&hash=item425de68c6c:g:EmoAAOSwj1Vjd5-m&itmprp=enc:AQAIAAAAwKtTs0sxb+auEn2WuornW2P0o23xy83Whzd/TQaYNEbRE7pzugMLaWin/X8y2sJ1yljMEN50i1YrKhq4ieMbP71LApOtdxk9q4xZNGiIztmWNSBx34zuTViBQETggwMcuxnaQfv0jeXfvtGRZ37tmGo2wMtfT1Phgs7+fmPoxtr+EdpKoHysAkqlTRTyRcvvqlSZXT3/NnrOG4HK4YWOFmrjSJsaawUIT5MJRKrcykT6srFJ3aijoR7NdiVsffXZhw==|tkp:BlBMUJCnjY28Yw&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338181125&toolid=10001&customid=2518X1570512Xc655f589586e88bf58ceb145958015ad
engrol
Regrettably, my Moto g8+ has a plastic back.
Mantelle
My Samsung phone too has the issue of metal sticking to the casing.
engrol
Sorry if this is a foolish question but did you simply glue a random piece of metal to the back of your phone? Realised that the metal is on the case, not the phone.
Mantelle
The magnetic dash holders adhere to the dashboard and include a small round or square metal component that attaches to the back of the phone or phone case.
engrol
Thank you for that, pardon my lack of knowledge. In the past, I would have just used a hot glue gun.
