Radiantecon
Greetings, everyone. I am not knowledgeable about BMWs. I have a 2007 E60 520d with a non-functioning radiator fan. I replaced it with a second one, but the issue persists. I suspect it may be related to the coolant sensor, but I am unsure of its position. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you. MagicPod
Have you tested it with the air conditioning running? They seldom activate during regular drive, but when the air conditioning is on, it should operate continuously.
Radiantecon
I attempted to use the air conditioning system, but it would not work. A buddy examined it using a Snap-on diagnostic tool, but the issue was still not resolved.
Inspirli
Is the engine reaching the temperature necessary for the cooling fan to operate? What is your operating temperature?
Radiantecon
I apologise for my lack of knowledge. How can I get the engine temperature on the display?
Inspirli
I cannot recall how to reach the secret menu since I rely on OBD equipment. You may get instructions on how to access the secret menu by doing a Google search. Considering the age of your automobile, I suspect that the low operating temperature is caused by faulty thermostats, which is a regular issue. Radiantecon
Could the lack of gas in the air conditioning system prevent the fan from working when I turn it on?
Inspirli
If the air conditioning system is not working, the fan will not operate when the air conditioning is turned on.

Radiantecon
After doing a Diag check, I received error code 4a66 related to power management. Is it possible that this error is due to the battery and might it be causing more problems with the fan?
