The magnitude of the difference

I am uncertain if the differential was upgraded during the engine swap, but it needs replacing on my 318ci with an M54B25 swap. On what scale is my differential? Mini or standard?

There's a drain plug on the side of that 188 medium case diff.

Do you believe it? It appears to have 320D cups and half shafts, as well as spacers that would be necessary for a small case. I'm a bit confused because some people have said it's small, and others have said it's medium. I just want to be sure before I purchase a new differential.

Get a good look at the white sticker on top of the differential and read the number using a mirror.

Thank you for your assistance; I have attempted to inspect it, but the sticker appears to have come off. I will remove it from the vehicle to either gain a better understanding of it or to check for any stamped numbers.
