Based on my experience with two distinct Mercedes vehicles, I can confidently state that just replacing the batteries without any other actions has no significant impact.

I have changed the batteries for both the C Class and SLC models without resetting any components. I just detached the old batteries and installed the new ones. I have not had any issues with them since then, which was around 3 or 4 years ago.
