Indeed, I am really enjoying it. Thank you. Acquiring knowledge about it requires some effort, which is beneficial since it necessitates treating it with reverence.

Congratulations, it seems impressive.

I suspect that a heating element may have been damaged, maybe due to burnout. However, I cannot confirm with absolute certainty if this element is really a component of the crankcase ventilation system. According to the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) data, when the temperature rises and the fan starts running, that side seems to be functioning well.

Based on your statement, it seems that you have replaced the exhaust vanos sprocket with the TC kit. I would suggest replacing both vanos. Was the kit an authentic BMW product or an FAI kit purchased directly from a retailer? Some of the more inexpensive kits are of poor quality. I am not asserting that it was the case, I am just verifying. VVT solenoids must be either original BMW or authentic Pierburg, since other alternatives do not respond with sufficient speed. Additionally, during the reconstruction, did you substitute the 4 rectangular rings located at the ends of the cams? It is imperative that only authentic BMW plastic replacements be used for this purpose. If these components are worn or cracked, they may have caused damage to the head, resulting in the loss of oil pressure. Hopefully, this provides some direction.

Although it may deviate from the main issue, I believe it is important to discuss as it pertains to the maintenance of vehicles. As previously said, our primary focus is on servicing the VAG group. There is a significant number of online accounts detailing instances of VW/Audi DSG/Stronic and Haldex malfunctions, which are often described as horror tales. The primary issue is in the use of inappropriate lubricants and the lack of regular or even nonexistent service. Customers approach us with these concerns whenever difficulties develop. A client contacts us and reports that their Haldex system is experiencing issues. They mention that they had a comprehensive service performed on it last year at the authorised dealership. Audi does not inform the client that there is a filter designed to endure the whole lifespan of the vehicle, which is only changed when a completely new unit is needed. During a service, Audi merely changes the oil and does not replace the filter. The aforementioned filter gets obstructed, impeding the proper functioning of the Haldex system. Fortunately, we install aftermarket filter kits on a complete service basis. Typically, the forums tend to focus on sharing negative experiences rather than positive ones. Take excellent care of your automobile to ensure its life, since neglecting regular maintenance may be detrimental. For customers with a VW Passat, the cost of frequent oil changes is more economical compared to the expense of purchasing a new engine.

Yesterday was a calm day at the workshop, where our major focus is on vehicles from the VAG group. However, I have a particular fondness for Minis, and a few of us use them as our own vehicles and as courtesy cars for clients. We maintain the vehicles of our local veterinary office. Two of the female veterinarians own Mini cars. Yesterday, one of the cars, a 2015 Countryman Cooper 1.6d, was brought in for its MOT and a comprehensive service. The car has almost reached 200,000 miles. NarrativePsych assertion on longlife service is accurate. Manufacturers implemented this practice solely as a response to environmental concerns. Reducing the frequency of oil changes has the benefit of producing less waste oil, which is environmentally friendly. However, this practice is not beneficial for the engine's performance. It does contribute to the goal of reducing emissions, however. I have a strong inclination towards maintaining regularity in oil changes, and I ensure that mine is done every 12 weeks. Some could consider this excessive, but now my vehicle has accumulated 230,000 miles (as seen in the second picture). Returning to the veterinarian's automobile, we have taken care of it since it reached the age of three and required its first MOT. Previously, BMW was responsible for completing the task. My employer highly values oil analysis, therefore after removing the oil, we submitted a sample to Shell, our lubricant supplier, for examination. The analysis findings indicated the presence of carbon particles and detectable amounts of fuel inside the oil. Subsequently, the aforementioned information was transferred to the client, resulting in advantageous effects on the engine's durability. Additionally, it has been advantageous for us since it has led to repeat business. We provide maintenance services for a large number of fleet cars and taxis, mostly Volkswagen models, which accumulate significant mileage. The owners of these vehicles prioritise minimising downtime. Regular oil changes are the only method to avoid costly engine troubles.

Recently, I removed the starting motor from my partner's 2008 Cooper. It had been removed around 50,000 miles ago for a clutch replacement and again this year for testing purposes. I had no problems when doing the task while laying on my back on the driveway. You may be experiencing a rust issue, but it seems that the individual in question did not do the task properly. I hope that your future experiences will be more positive, and I recommend seeking out a different garage that has a higher level of expertise in working on Minis.

Hello everyone, the headrest of my car's driver seat has always been loose and unstable. The electric vertical adjustment functions well, however it lacks the ability to maintain its position when pushed backward or forward. Has anybody encountered this problem? Thank you.

Based on the description, it seems that the engine is rotating at a sufficient speed to initiate the ignition process. Contaminated or impure gasoline 🤔

Has anybody have experience with the Motoreasy warranty?
Banman replied to FreexPatty's topic in General
MB warranties, like all warranties, have an element of risk. Your automobile may operate without issues for an extended period, or it may encounter significant problems. I owned a 2016 E350 S212 that I bought brand new. When the warranty was about to expire, I looked into extending it and found that a one-year Mercedes-Benz warranty would cost approximately £499. I planned to purchase the warranty, but I forgot to renew it immediately. When I checked again a couple of weeks later, which was already past the three-year warranty period, the price had significantly increased to around £800. Consequently, I decided not to purchase any warranty. After a trouble-free ownership period of five and a half years, I successfully sold the automobile. -
I did not see any water in the footwells, particularly not under the floor mats. Is it the location you are referring to? I had previously removed the bcm module and found that everything was completely dry. Tomorrow, I will examine the steering module. It is peculiar how the presence of water on the floor caused the module to malfunction, namely the modules located near the steering wheel. Thank you once again for your responses.

Thank you for your response! Currently, the indicators, window wipers, headlamp selection switch, and the push button for MPG and other functions are not functioning. The headlights are continuously illuminated, and when I connected it to a snap-on diagnostic tool, it indicated that there is a short circuit or open circuit on lines 1 to 5 of the N80 steering column switch. I will examine it tomorrow.

Upon examining several websites and social media platforms, many have expressed concerns over the current state of claim payments. If you have sold a significant number of units, you should be capable of providing a response. What is the total number of engine replacements that Fidelity has had to handle in Gen 2 R8 vehicles? Can you provide more precise information on the proportion of gold/platinum plans for Gen 2 R8 that have undergone engine replacement? What is the number of individuals who have had to replace significant components that surpass the expenses of a gold/platinum plan? I am interested in determining the number of lost plans for Fidelity. Could you provide a particular percentage for the Gen 2 R8?

If you get it at a low cost, I believe you are in good shape. I am unable to justify spending 7-9k (or more) on a hypothetical situation in my situation. I have had my automobile since January 2018, and I have consistently maintained the servicing and promptly addressed any issues that arose. My maintenance expenses are still covered by the mileage of 60,000 miles. These automobiles have a high degree of durability. Turbo vehicles with factory internals are generating more than 1300 rwhp. My 610 motor has a low horsepower. Upon doing study, it becomes evident that Fidelity is no longer only engaging in transactions for the purpose of payment.
-
I have made the decision to go for self-insurance for my 2017 Plus (36,000 miles) instead of allocating a budget of 7-8k towards Fidelity or any other extended warranty provider. I believe that having a budget of 7-10k for repairs would be sufficient, as opposed to transferring such funds to a corporation that is very probable to reject the claims. After doing thorough study, I have seen that even the esteemed Fidelity is increasingly refuting several assertions when searching outside this forum. The expiration of my platinum policy occurred in the previous month, resulting in a dual coverage arrangement between the factory Audi warranty and my Fidelity platinum. Consequently, I only received the advantages of three out of the six-year period for which I made the purchase of the vehicle in January 2018. If the cost was almost twice what it used to be? (Obviously, the selling dealer is increasing the price of these items by 2-10 times their original cost.) These automobiles are rather dependable, and because I no longer drive as often as I used to, the probability of a catastrophic event occurring is minimal.

If you fail to re-tax your electric vehicle (EV) this month, will it be possible to do so by the end of March 2025?

Today, I replaced the battery with a fresh one. I saw that the earth lead, where it is fastened to the chassis, was significantly rusted, so I proceeded to clean it. The starting motor now rotates at a much higher speed. I also performed maintenance on the contacts of the remaining 614 relays. I saw heat marks on them, but when removing the body surround, I found that their condition was not significantly deteriorated. Does anybody has a method for identifying the relays?
-
I am sceptical about it. The automobile did eventually start, although it took a longer time than usual. The problems arose after the car had started.
-
Is there anybody who has a key to the relays shown below? I have already cleaned the relay indicated by the black arrow located at the bottom left of the image. I am curious about the other relays.
-
No, I did not. I had a moment of confusion, but it seemed like there was a problem with the electrical power. I saw that the LED cluster on the dashboard was pulsating, becoming bright and then somewhat dimmer, which was out of the ordinary. After I cleaned the secondary air pump relay, I saw a group of additional relays that I have heard others talk about replacing. Could these relays be related to the issue?
