  2. Notification on the inspection alert. I scheduled a repair and inspection at the Audi main dealer in Leeds, which cost me £327. The day prior to the procedure, they contacted me and stated that the cost is, in fact, £486. Remarkably peculiar. I cancelled my reservation to rebook at IVC Leeds for £286. They performed well, although encountered difficulties in eliminating the inspection notice; he had to test many laptops, but ultimately succeeded in removing the alert. I will not utilise the Audi main dealer in Leeds.
  3. Most diagnostic instruments will reset the inspection service. I am a mechanic and possess five distinct diagnostic instruments, including the Ancel you have, and I have recently reset my inspection using it. Your vehicle may require a higher-quality diagnostic machine for the reset, since Audi often complicates access for inexpensive tools in later models, which is why the Ancel may be ineffective.
  4. It activates each time I cycle the ignition, resulting in it illuminating hundreds of times. Resetting the oil in the MMI does not reset the inspection interval. I acquired the Ancel VD500 OBD scanner to reset the service, but it failed to establish a connection. Could you suggest an A3 diagnostic scanner for resetting inspections? Thank you in advance.
  5. Greetings to all. This is my inaugural Audi, a 2025 A3 S line Black Edition in District Green. It attracts significant attention from individuals. It has successfully completed 2500 miles throughout Europe without any issues. I have always owned Alfa vehicles; however, Alfa no longer manufactures manual cars. Audi continues to offer an excellent array of manuals. The experience with the A3 is somewhat ambivalent; the driving performance is robust and stable, although the excessive dashboard alerts are quite irritating. The inspection warning activates consistently, commencing at an impressive 2000 miles.
  6. Can anyone provide insights on the value of installing adjustable coilovers or the potential issues they may cause? Has anyone had experience with their installation?
  7. I have now installed 16-inch alloy wheels, and the improvement in noise levels and comfort is significant - I am very pleased. I was rather concerned about speedometer calibration; however, while the speedometer indicates 40 mph, the satnav displays 37 mph, which I consider acceptable. At least the situation is not reversed, with the speedometer indicating a slower speed than the satnav.
  8. I replaced the 17-inch wheels on my Cooper S with 16-inch ones, which provide increased sidewall on the tires and significantly enhance comfort. I am now considering replacing the dampers and springs to further improve ride quality due to the condition of the roads.
  9. My third-generation Clubman is equipped with tire pressure sensors in the wheels, which are available in various colours to indicate different fitments. In contrast, pre-generation models, like yours, utilise ABS rings and sensors; a deflated tire rotates less than an inflated one, which the ABS detects. The advantage for you is that you can install any wheel you desire and perform a reset of the tire pressure warning, allowing the system to recognise the change. As a general guideline for speedo
  10. I believe that due to the tire's deeper sidewall, it is essentially equivalent. I would not be concerned about that, as I believe it does not significantly impact most exchanges.
  11. Superb HeadlinesThank you for your prompt response. Did you encounter any issues with the speedometer? Does the circumference remain constant with smaller rims and larger tires?
  12. I installed these 16-inch wheels on a Mini Cooper S, which typically comes with 17-inch wheels. Fifteen-inch wheels are incompatible with a Cooper S because to the oversized braking discs and callipers. A smaller model, such as a micro version, may accommodate a 15-inch size. It enhanced comfort.
  13. I am thoroughly exasperated with the potholes in this area, having irreparably ruined three of my Mini's 17-inch alloy wheels in the past year. These low-profile tires possess minimal rubber between the road and the rim, making wear unavoidable. Is there an issue with accommodating 16-inch or even 15-inch wheels, as they would likely endure local road conditions better? Feedback?

  15. It is quite evident, indeed. Otherwise, there would be numerous shunts daily, as the majority of relatively new vehicles are equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
  16. Presumably, you are referring to the scenario in which the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) detects a deceleration ahead and engages the brakes; otherwise, a rear-end collision with trailing vehicles would occur.
  17. No, I am referring to all situations. The automobile is decelerating, but I am uncertain if it is utilising the engine or the brakes to do so. I believe it would be beneficial for the vehicles following you, as the braking motion might be quite abrupt.
  18. Does the brake light activate when decelerating the engine when utilising adaptive cruise control?
  19. Once it is repaired, you are familiar with the vehicle, hence I would retain it.
  20. I have also found the drive to be excellent. It is now a dilemma whether to sell and obtain some cash or to utilise it until the engine dies. The Mini I possess, which is an enjoyable vehicle, is currently idle. BMW on weekdays, Mini on weekends. BM just pertains to the journey between work and home. I am not exerting any pressure; my son desires it, but he lacks the financial resources for necessary repairs. One often encounters the dilemma of either selling or purchasing another's issues, or retaining them due to familiarity with their resolution.
  21. Somewhat unfortunate on your initial BMW experience. Do not be discouraged by this unfavourable beginning to ownership; if the car was inexpensive, it was so for a reason, and I believe you have uncovered those reasons. I have a 2007 3 series diesel auto that the lacquer has failed on roof and bonnet that i must sell but i have been saying that since April but it is such a reliable car i have done nothing to sell it just given it a run now i even insured it again recently but 3 cars is 1 too many lol. subsequently
  22. Greetings to everyone. I have recently acquired a BMW, specifically a black 318i M Sport, aside from the BMW-manufactured Mini. It presents a striking appearance. Vehicle appears immaculate both externally and internally upon first observation. It has only been a week, and the differential has malfunctioned. A few days later, rear wheel bearings and rear brake discs. A week subsequent to that repair, the water pipe connecting the expansion bottle to the radiator failed.Fortunately, since the vehicle was immobile, there was no damage to the engine when the water depleted. The battery discharged while I awaited parts, necessitating the purchase of a jump starter battery. The engine light is illuminated, although the vehicle retains ample power and has not entered limp mode. The vehicle has accumulated 145,000 miles and has had six previous owners prior to my acquisition. Acquired it due to its affordability, although it may have resulted in an endless cycle of maintenance. it is a nice drive, the Auto transmission changes quite smoothly and the M sport feature works perfectly. The full leather seats, air conditioning, lowered sports suspension, and body package render it visually striking.
