You were absolutely correct; I ran it for another fucking forty miles, reduced the charge state to zero, and the warning light went out. Unfortunately, I will be purchasing my last Sportage after four consecutive years due to the excruciating pain that is the GPF issue.

I have also discovered that the warning light only turns off when the gpf charge state is at 0? while using an obd reader for clearing the gpf.

An employee from the service department called me; he informed me that my vehicle does not need any software updates and that I should disregard the nonsense posted on online forums. From our "rubbish" forum, I have just sent this via email. For certain Kia models, such as the NQ5e (Kia Sportage) and NQ5e MHEV (Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle), there is a software update called the 230S23 (Revised) recall. This update improves the operation of the Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) warning lamp. [1] In addition, he mentioned that the filter needs to be blocked even though the Charge State 1 reading is negative.

A little twist on the widely discussed problems with the GPF. Today was the umpteenth occurrence of my warning light going off. I followed the steps in these forums by plugging in my odb reader and then driving to the closest highway. Starting out, the GPF charge state was 4. I managed to reduce it to 1, but the alert light stayed on. Whenever the charge state dropped below 2, it has previously gone off during regen runs. From what I can gather, the GPF is crystal clear at charge state 1, which is quite frustrating. I had to schedule an appointment at my Kia garage since I couldn't locate or clear the warning using the odb reader. Please do not force a restart or otherwise damage the engine; instead, I would like them to remove the warning and install the software update that should fix the GPF problems. I'll make sure to update everyone.

no, what I mean is that the 2.6v could be coming from some other source, and the signal wire could be shorted to something (in the worst case scenario, the ddm). Not knowing the sensor data, pin values, and what they should be makes it difficult to determine.

I take it that you mean to connect the signal wire to an object that does not have voltage?

First, I'd look at a wiring diagram to make sure that pins 1-2-3 are the ones you measured. Then, I'd backprobe the signal wire voltage at the ecu pin. There might be a shorted wire if the voltage is off and the ignition is off.

Here are the codes for my 2004 E60 525d (M57): A sensor for the exhaust back-pressure (004CF3) Problems with the DPF threshold or loading (481A/480A) • 4166—Concerning DPF I've already taken care of the exhaust temperature sensor in Bank 2 and the exhaust back-pressure sensor by replacing them with the proper ones. After cleaning and inspecting, the pressure hoses and DPF ports appear to be clear. No matter how much you turn off the engine, the live data will still display a constant of around 6.00 psi. It never goes below zero, though the last digits do flicker ever-so-slightly. The sensor connector was measured with the engine off and the ignition on: • Pin 1 → 5 V steady (excellent) • When the sensor is connected, Pin 2 (signal) maintains a constant voltage of 2.6 V. • (I'm assuming that ground is Pin 3). Maintaining a constant 2.6 V signal voltage is independent of engine speed. Is anyone familiar with this? Then what should I do? Reset the adaptation/zero point, check the wiring, or is there something else I should look at? Your input is valued. I am grateful.

Drinking five pints of Guinness before getting behind the wheel gave the impression that he didn't care much about other drivers. Thankfully, the other couple in the car escaped unharmed. The fact that he apparently passed out while the car was on fire makes it hard to empathize with him. At least he won't be able to murder anyone again because of his own choices and deeds. What a tragic loss for his loved ones.

Hello, I have added dpf cleaner and egr cleaner to my fuel tank, and I exclusively use premium fuel. The car doesn't automatically regenerate; instead, it alerts me when it needs to be done, so I have to manually do it every two weeks or so, after approximately 170 miles. Someone informed me that it's the egr valve/filter. At one point, I was still using my brand-new dpf, nox sensors, and egr valve while driving 130 miles each way to and from work on the highway. My only hope is that this error will be manageable because I am sick of paying out.

Could it be that the EGR sensor is malfunctioning or the EGR valve? My understanding was that there should be conditions under which the exhaust gas is recycled to the intake system, but for some reason, the valve is staying open, so it's happening all the time. So that's not good. Because the ECU will reduce the impact on your engine, you might not realize anything is wrong until it breaks. For that reason, a warning light is present. Would premium fuels or diesel additives work? Between dpf regenerations, how far do you typically drive and how long do you typically let it run? About 160 miles and 444 minutes of mining.
