  3. Amazon.co.uk : Podpoint EV charger
  4. Although I have previously stated that the podpoint pp-e-170209-1 pcb makes some very concerning arcing noises when the relays turn on and off, I have continued to use it. It appears to be the case with every podpoint I've ever had, so whatever. My board only has two single-phase power relays, but there's enough space for four huge ones to switch three phases. These two, when connected in series, have a resistance of 78 ohms and likely draw about 150mA from the 12v rail. I just built a cmos timer for the system, and it runs on a 12v rail fed by a 7806 regulator, a couple of 1000uF capacitors, a diode, and a 47 ohm resistor for some smoothing. A handful of LEDs are driven by the circuit, which uses no more than 10mA to demonstrate its operation. It would take a significant drop in the 12v rail to upset the regulator, since it is likely to be satisfied with a 9v input. Regardless, I still get the same result as when I initially turn on my Rolec tester whenever I plug in the charging cord. As chatgpt suggested, I increased the capacitance on the podpoint board from 680uF to 1000uF, but I still don't get it. The podpoint power supply may not even have enough juice to run its own relays, I'm not sure. What do you think?
  5. They are utterly deceitful dealers. Swapped out my mates for an eBay find in no time.
  6. For a component that can be swapped out in a matter of minutes, £95 seems like dealer pricing. For a far smaller sum, the aftermarket LEDs for the center bumper appear to be adequate.
  7. Toyota wanted £110 to install one, so I bought one from Amazon for £4. Oh my goodness! Plus, they're a breeze to swap out.
  8. The mechanic charged me five pounds to install mine, and I bought an LED light on eBay for about nine pounds; it's been working great ever since.
  9. Fitting a non-standard one is easy, takes less than 5 minutes, and will cost less than £10. An authentic Toyota LED costs around £55
  10. This is a common problem with the rear fog/reverse lamp that is located in the middle of the bumper, and the sound is about right for a real replacement LED bulb.
  11. My Toyota CHR's reverse parking light cost 95 GBP; does anyone have any idea if that's the right price?

  13. (Wunderpartz, a company based in the UK that sells similar products but not these, is where I obtained the part number.) With Mercteil being based in Latvia and their bank in Lithuania, I figured it was worth a shot because they accept PayPal. Even if nothing comes up, I should still be able to get my money back. By the way, I'll be sitting down in the morning to enquire about the main dealer's price anyway.

  15. PRESS RELEASE - The feckers have been located. And, ultimately, it is an original equipment manufacturer (OE) fitment.
  16. Genuine AMG brake calliper, aftermarket but not counterfeit. If you'd rather not use the center caps that came with the car, I do have a set of inexpensive ones with the 'Affalterbach' crest that you can find on eBay. I wanted to use them with the red CLS 63 SB, but I couldn't find a way to attach the 'Affalterbach Special Edition' badge to the dashboard. On the flip side, the calliper appears rather functional, with the anti-rattle spring and the rear of the outer pad visible in all their blatant redness. This isn't looking good at all...
  17. I have found the perfect silver plate. I wish I knew where to get a couple right now. Increased likelihood of rocking-horse drama!in my opinion. It needs a miracle because all the information I can find indicates that it was an aftermarket fitting and not original equipment. According to AI, you should get a metal plate stamped with the AMG emblem, paint it red, and then attach it using a product like JB-Weld.
  18. Refurbished in red, it resembles the regular calliper. After only a few years, the factory finish began to flake and turn a variety of creamy colours. You can see what they typically look like in this photo; I think the silver plate could be the part you're after.
  19. It appears to be one of those knockoff covers. Can you describe the opposing viewpoint? Those center caps are 😏 as well.
  20. Is this OE part number? I've looked everywhere online, but I can't locate a metal plate with the AMG emblem raised on it. Is anybody else recognising it? It would be great if it did, but if it doesn't, I'm starting to worry that I'm too far up Sh!t Creek for a paddle to make any difference.
  21. This grey 2007 ML63 imported from Japan is the vehicle in question. I am unable to locate a replacement for the rear brake calliper trim piece that has departed. The one that remains in place is this one.

  23. Much obliged; the technician is now disassembling the gearbox to look for those problems, and the gearbox is already out. Once the problem is identified, I will provide an update here.

  25. After months of trying, I have finally narrowed down this problem, but it is still with me. Make sure the fluid level is correct by using the check valve located behind the front left wheel. If you don't take care not to overfill, froth can form and lead to pressure problems. - use a multimeter to inspect the wiring connecting the gearbox to the TCM for any signs of a break. — when using a typical on-board diagnostic (OBD) device - locate the part that says "clutch voltage data" The hydraulic pressure solenoid should be around 0.53 volts when the engine is idling and should only rise when shifting into reverse or drive, among other functions. - As a precaution, the selector flashes and refuses to engage (a "lockout") if the value exceeds 0.9. £60–£100 if not get a new valve body... It's possible it's just electrical because mine only starts up every so often, with no problems whatsoever.
