2025 Audi A3 Black Edition

This is my inaugural Audi, a 2025 A3 S line Black Edition in District Green. It attracts significant attention from individuals.
It has successfully completed 2500 miles throughout Europe without any issues.


I have always owned Alfa vehicles; however, Alfa no longer manufactures manual cars.
Audi continues to offer an excellent array of manuals.

The experience with the A3 is somewhat ambivalent; the driving performance is robust and stable, although the excessive dashboard alerts are quite irritating.
The inspection warning activates consistently, commencing at an impressive 2000 miles.

It activates each time I cycle the ignition, resulting in it illuminating hundreds of times. Resetting the oil in the MMI does not reset the inspection interval.
I acquired the Ancel VD500 OBD scanner to reset the service, but it failed to establish a connection.


Could you suggest an A3 diagnostic scanner for resetting inspections?

Most diagnostic instruments will reset the inspection service. I am a mechanic and possess five distinct diagnostic instruments, including the Ancel you have, and I have recently reset my inspection using it.


Your vehicle may require a higher-quality diagnostic machine for the reset, since Audi often complicates access for inexpensive tools in later models, which is why the Ancel may be ineffective.

Notification on the inspection alert.

I scheduled a repair and inspection at the Audi main dealer in Leeds, which cost me £327.
The day prior to the procedure, they contacted me and stated that the cost is, in fact, £486. Remarkably peculiar.

I cancelled my reservation to rebook at IVC Leeds for £286. They performed well, although encountered difficulties in eliminating the inspection notice; he had to test many laptops, but ultimately succeeded in removing the alert.
I will not utilise the Audi main dealer in Leeds.

It is somewhat peculiar that they altered the pricing significantly. Did they provide the rationale for the increased amount?

He stated, "I do not believe it requires servicing, merely an inspection."
I stated, "I believe it does; it has completed 18,000 miles. I conversed with H**** in service, who placed me on hold, presumably to enquire about a favourable price, as I was eager to secure a deal."
He stated, "I must listen to the conversation you had with H****."


After reflection, I called again to request the service manager, but they were unavailable, so I cancelled.

It appears they were best circumvented. Additionally, one must examine what alterations will be implemented during the service. They utilise long-lasting filters, so when you schedule a full service, it is likely that you are merely receiving an oil and filter replacement.

A comprehensive breakdown of vehicle collection is generally advisable to ascertain the completed tasks.
