Transmission fluid replacement

Greetings, everyone.

I would appreciate any insights about the optimal timing for replacing or having the gearbox oil replaced in my 2015 520d GT.

The vehicle is equipped with an 8-speed steptronic gearbox, however I am uncertain whether this is standard across all models.

The car has accumulated 60,000 km and I am certain that its components have never been replaced.

Considering the mileage, I would recommend doing a service on it, as it aligns with the mileage specified by ZF for servicing.

I recently had a gearbox service performed on one of my vehicles that I believed already had a smooth shifting gearbox. However, after the service, the shifting has become much smoother, much to my delight.

The cost ranges from £500 to £600. Yes, it is recommended to visit the ZF website, where you can find a list of certified fitters. I have personally employed one of the fitters near me, as well as an independent ex-BMW technician.
