Freelele
Greetings, everyone. I would appreciate any insights about the optimal timing for replacing or having the gearbox oil replaced in my 2015 520d GT. The vehicle is equipped with an 8-speed steptronic gearbox, however I am uncertain whether this is standard across all models. The car has accumulated 60,000 km and I am certain that its components have never been replaced. Thank you as usual
BuffUpdate
Considering the mileage, I would recommend doing a service on it, as it aligns with the mileage specified by ZF for servicing.
Cleverco
Positive feedback about a service. I recently had a gearbox service performed on one of my vehicles that I believed already had a smooth shifting gearbox. However, after the service, the shifting has become much smoother, much to my delight.
Freelele
Indeed, it does have an impact, doesn't it? Additionally, is this position considered specialised? If so, could you provide an estimate of the approximate cost?
Starat
The cost ranges from £500 to £600. Yes, it is recommended to visit the ZF website, where you can find a list of certified fitters. I have personally employed one of the fitters near me, as well as an independent ex-BMW technician.
Cleverco
My car repairs are carried out by a local independent BMW specialist and cost around £300.
Starat
Is the price of the equipment more than £200?
