  1. Greetings, everybody, I am a newbie here, and my 2014 ML350 Bluetec has been giving me nothing but trouble. A fault code 111500, which reads "Soot content in the diesel particulare filter is implausible," came up in December, apparently prompted by the differential pressure and exhaust back pressure sensors, and that was the first warning light to come on. Switched out both sensors without success. The gasoline usage was skyrocketing (23 litres per hundred) and the DPF wasn't regenerating, so I had to install a new one. So far, this has been the solution to all problems; fuel consumption has even out, and the CEL has disappeared. Another CEL appeared just 300 miles later, and the dreaded Adblue Remaining Starts 10 warning followed shortly thereafter. You can skip the "500 km remaining" and "16 starts remaining" Adblue messages and go right to the 10 starts. I filled up the Adblue because I felt it was low, but that didn't fix the CEL. Beyond that, I saw that the car's exhaust began to emit a heavy grayish-white smoke and had an odour that was completely foreign to me—neither diesel fuel nor ammonia, as far as I could tell. Once the problem codes (16CE00, 16CF00) were cleared, everything settled down for around 200km before CEL popped up again. The official dealer suggested updating the ECU software because the Adblue system wasn't talking to it correctly. That fixed the Adblue-related codes, but now I'm having trouble with 14CF00, which means 'The positive control deviation during exhaust gas recirculation control is too high,' and 178200, because of the SCR catalytic converter's efficiency. Since the DPF problems began in December, the 14CF00 code has intermittently prompted the CEL; the dealer says I must now clean the EGR valve, pipes, etc. This is great with me, and I will have it done. My biggest concern is pinpointing the source of the smoke; is it related to the EGR problem, the Adblue problem, or the just installed DPF? Both possibilities are being considered because the smoke didn't begin until after the Adblue tank was filled, and it was also soon after the DPF was replaced. The smoke appears out of nowhere on highways and in cities, stays for two to five minutes, and then goes away. The dealer claims, "It's just DPF regeneration," but I don't buy it because the DPF is brand new and I've never had problems like this before the Adblue problems began. I could really need some advice.
  2. therefore far, I haven't noticed any chips or damage to the paint, therefore I'm guessing the rust is coming from underneath?
  3. Last week, I observed some paint bubbling on my 2019 E class toward the bottom of the windscreen, around the driver side pillar on the strip. Since the paint is unharmed, I suspect that the rust is penetrating beneath the surface. Would the MB corrosion warranty cover this? No body work repairs have been done in that region since I've had the automobile since it was new. I can provide you with the car's complete MB service history as well. I am grateful.
  4. It would be very unfair to sell the vehicle in its current state. It was confirmed by the individual who examined my car as well. Warranty (or, more accurately, goodwill) coverage is available for up to ten years, as they indicated. Indeed, the plastic components are not repainted. However, I will not budge from this issue; I want to pursue legal action, ombudsman. Please refrain from contacting the ombudsman until we have discussed your request, they told me when I spoke with them today. From what I've heard today, this is the case.
  5. Greetings, everybody! In regards to a paint defect problem on my 2018 Mercedes-Benz A-Class in the UK, I would appreciate any guidance and stories from others who have been through the same thing. After my first contact with Mercedes-Benz, they sent me to an approved body repair centre for the brand. On December 18, 2025, the vehicle had an inspection. I did not get a formal report, but the technician did tell me that the whole car had major paint problems and that the amount of degradation is not usual for the vehicle's age. I was also told that the results will be shared with Mercedes-Benz UK and that the decision for any kind of goodwill repair would be made by corporate. Following this, Mercedes-Benz UK extended an offer to contribute 25% towards the repair as a gesture of goodwill. I have previously spoken with customer support and submitted a formal written appeal over this offer. I am of the opinion that it is unreasonable considering the seriousness of the issue, the vehicle's age, and the fact that an Approved repairer conducted the inspection. Very seldom does a high-end brand's paint deteriorate to this degree in such a short amount of time. The situation has now escalated to the point that I am contemplating taking it to The Motor Ombudsman. I was wondering whether anybody in the UK has dealt with a same paint problem with a Mercedes. Should I try to get a larger contribution, or do you think a 25% goodwill offer is reasonable here? Anything you can tell me would be much appreciated.
  6. Disgrace! It appears I possess a diagnostic instrument destined for the scrapheap. 😄
  7. Greetings. I possess the iCarsoft MB V2, but I no longer own a Mercedes. Given that the hardware is identical, might this be upgraded to a Pro version capable of servicing all vehicles?
  8. No, my automobile was merely five months old at the time of purchase, thus there was no necessity for either.
  9. The only consideration is the warranty; you receive the remaining duration, which in my case was 6 years and 6 months, as opposed to a fresh 7-year warranty with approval. I received the surplus voucher via email.
  10. Despite their assertions that I could not obtain insurance, I successfully acquired it for my Sorento, which was "guaranteed" due to my statement of this:
  11. An electric motor has malfunctioned. I could not comprehend the statement, but I believe it pertains to the exhaust manifold. It is possible that the swirl flaps are malfunctioning. The turbo must be removed. The repair will not be inexpensive.
  12. I have shared this in the "What have you done to your Merc today" thread, but I believe it may also be beneficial to put it here. I will provide any updates or solutions in due time. E350 CDi has the updated OM642 engine. EML activated en route to work on Friday. Successfully transported me there and back home, fortunately, without any apparent symptoms. Operated regularly, smoothly, without any knocks, responded well under moderate load, and emitted no smoke (did not attempt full acceleration). I presented it to my independent entity first thing this morning. It began adequately but exhibited hesitance in shifting gears. The vehicle shifts down automatically at approximately 3,000 RPM, while manual paddle shifting occurs at 2,500 RPM, and it does not exceed 5th gear with the 7G-Tronic gearbox. Otherwise, it seems satisfactory. I suspected the NOx sensor, but the mechanic disagreed, considering the gearbox issues observed this morning. I anticipate a call.
