  1. Everything I've been considering so far is compatible with the MB requirements. Really, I'm at a loss for a decision.regarding the benefits of 0w 30 vs 5W 40.
  2. Also, the C220 is a diesel. The result of their tool was Shell Helix HX8 ECT 5w-40.
  3. Even though I've changed the oil in my Mercs ad nauseam before, my brain has decided to have an epiphany and act foolishly when it comes to choosing the oil! My son's 61 plate C220 coupé (>80,000 miles) and my own Sept 2012 CLS 350CDi (<40,000 miles) both require an oil change. Shell Helix Ultra is probably one of my past products, but I can't place it. So, for vehicles that are out in the beautiful sunshine!Which version of Shell Helix Ultra do people prefer for shorter (6-25 mile) trips or longer (200 mile+) excursions along the south coast? These vehicles are often used in S-mode (C-class) and have a Stage 1 map. At the moment, I can't make up my mind between the Ultra 5W40, Ultra Diesel 5W40, and the 0W 30 Ultra ECT C2/C3. Have you any suggestions as to which one could work best? Furthermore, I would like to know which brand of filters individuals often use, as I am consulting with our service experts.to pick? The question of whether they are truly has always plagued me, but I have usually sided with Mann.justifiable to spend more on than competing brands like Bosch or Mahle? Much obliged.
  4. Without a fault code scan, you'd have to guess, which may be costly.
  5. It's clearly a big issue when it takes three weeks to clog a dpf. Honestly, I'd give it back to them.
  6. ^^ They often "go walkabout" (often in the middle of the night)
  7. I also advocate for the consistent use of the same washer fluid. I replenish the bottle prior to a service to avoid contamination from an alternative mixture. The dealer leaves a little concentration bottle in the vehicle following the service.
  8. I possess the same model and year of the vehicle, although I have not encountered this issue; the car automatically locks itself if not secured with the key fob after use. It appears that the issue with the boot may stem from a defective micro switch on the handle or a potentially severed wire within the wiring loom near the hinge, as the repeated opening and closing of the boot might lead to wire damage. Simply retract the rubber boot on the loom to inspect the wires.
  9. Thank you for your prompt response. Did you obtain a recent MOT and service at the time of acquisition?
  10. Greetings, I acquired a Kia Assured vehicle from a "Kia approved" franchise outlet in London. The vehicle was listed as "Kia Assured" on the official Kia website. It is my understanding that all Kia Assured vehicles are entitled to identical perks. The dealership informed me that they do not offer "driveaway insurance," necessitating payment for coverage on the day I got the vehicle. Is that typical? Is the franchise permitted to eliminate some advantages from the Kia Assured list? They stated that I do not own the £250 voucher for my initial insurance claim; nonetheless, I obtained an email from Kia confirming that I am entitled to this advantage and should not overlook it. Ultimately, when purchasing the vehicle, the dealer informed me that they had conducted a recent MOT and servicing. However, they did not comply, prompting me to request their immediate action. Is it customary to exhibit such poor transparency and perhaps dishonesty regarding MOT and servicing? Thank you.
  11. The vacuum pump maintained a vacuum for 45 minutes but lost charge overnight. Upon pressurising the system with air, a nitrogen leak in the evaporator was ultimately identified.
  12. There is invariably an exception. I presume they were not a franchised dealer.
  13. Generally, if the vehicle requires servicing and you intend to trade it to a dealer, it is not advisable to incur the expense of servicing. If you are pursuing a private sale, the opposite applies. Unusual defects will deter private buyers, who are likely to assume that repairs have not been undertaken due to their high cost. Dealers may exhibit varying levels of worry.
