  1. Occasionally, I have discovered that a Battery of comparable dimensions also works well. Regarding my key fob, I believe it requires a CR2032 battery. However, since I didn't have a spare one available, I attempted to use a CR2025 battery instead, which proved to be functional despite being significantly slimmer.
  2. I have acquired knowledge via errors and have experienced many situations. An effective approach to obtain desired outcomes is to promptly return the product, park it conspicuously in the centre of the sales area with all entrances exposed, approach the salesperson, and assertively express dissatisfaction by stating something to the effect of... "You have sold me a defective product. Either rectify the issue immediately or I will persistently vocalise my grievances throughout the day, highlighting how you have deceived me." This method tends to yield favourable results. Once upon a time, I had a Mercedes A class car. However, I am perplexed as to how I found myself returning to the Mercedes brand again. Revised to include... I completely empathise with the original poster. I would expect a pre-owned Mercedes to be in impeccable condition, with any concerns promptly addressed and fixed without any complications. It is just the perception that the Mercedes brand creates, but regrettably, we are seeing an excessive number of such messages.
  3. While I understand your gratitude, it is important to empathise with the perspective of the dealers. Considering that you did not purchase the item from them, but want them to address the issue and then take it to another establishment, it may create a complex situation. If you purchased a Samsung television from PC World and then attempted to have it repaired at Argos and John Lewis, would you anticipate receiving satisfactory service from Samsung? The dealers serve as intermediaries, facilitating transactions between buyers and sellers, rather than directly engaging with the Mercedes company. While acknowledging the necessity for warranty repairs on the automobile, I believe that your approach has been misguided. If my car, registered in 1969, shown an oil warning light on the inaugural trip home, I would not have taken it home.
  4. Wouldn't it have been more prudent to return it to the first vendor rather than visiting every other Mercedes-Benz dealership in the vicinity? I see a minimum of 4 dealers inside this chain, making it difficult to monitor and track each individual's actions.
  5. Given the presence of screenwash in the reservoir, which specific kind of screenwash fluid do you utilise? It is becoming usual for the fluid to solidify when multiple brands are combined. Contrary to popular belief, not all fluids are compatible, and when examining their chemical composition, considerable discrepancies might be seen in some circumstances. If I recall well, a few years ago when I researched this, I found that Volvo was the only other manufacturer that had comparable components to those of MB.
  6. After removing the wiper arms and top trim piece, it is advisable to create an aperture or add an access lid for the brake reservoir fluid. I installed an aluminium frame and carbon cover on my vehicle. However, I found it rather inconvenient to have to remove the whole front trunk, wipers, and trim pieces only to check fluid levels.
  7. The Pioneer SPH DA160 DAB was obtained from Incartec, a company specialising in Mercedes CLK (C209) facelift Stereo Upgrade Kits, Parking Cameras, Speaker Rings, and Upgrades.
  8. Concurring with the steering wheel controls and using the touch screen does not pose any difficulty. However, in the case of the Range Rover, it requires a little effort to reach the controls, which I would not encounter with the CLK. I must express my dissatisfaction with the sound quality produced by the speakers that have been placed. However, it seems that these older installations lack an amplifier or subwoofer.
  9. I purchased my CLK as a secondary vehicle to save wear on my Range Rover, and it is excellent considering its cost, except for the outdated sound system. After an extensive hunt for a suitable Chinese unit, I eventually abandoned the endeavour and acquired a Pioneer double DIN unit. Interestingly, it was actually given to me by my significant other as a Christmas present. Today, I finally managed to install it and I am really satisfied. The physical installation process was rather simple, requiring both courage and caution while handling the different trim panels. Similarly, establishing the connection was uncomplicated, thanks to the provided patch leads. To be candid, I must admit that I abandoned my attempts to make the steering wheel controls function. Even if they were operational, they would simply allow me to adjust the volume and skip tracks. Moreover, I can easily access the touchscreen without any significant exertion. Hence, it did not seem worthwhile to spend hours pondering over this matter. Generally, I am rather satisfied with it and would suggest it to others who own Audio 20 and need an improvement.
  10. There is a significant amount of debris in Mrs. S's vehicle, including Polo wrappers, car park tickets, dog food crumbs, and hair grips.
